one time this cousin of mine came over. she lOVES asmr. she sat next to me on a TRAIN and listened to ASMR on FULL VOLUME apparently trying to sLeEP.

there wwere spoons clacked on the mike like 'trrrrrrrrrrrrr' and then sLIME going 'kchkchkchkch' anD THE WOMAN WOULDN'T STOP WHISPERING.

'tptptptppttpptpttp' hER 'T' NOISES WERE INFURIATING. THE NOISE OF THE--THE LIKE SPIT ON THE MOUTH WERE LIKE 'pchpchpchpch' EUGH PLS-

it's probably my sensory issues or noise sensitivity. no hate to people hwo like asmr, it's your life my dude. bUT LIKE DON'T FORCE ME TO LISTEN TO IT OH MY GODS-

hi so I need to know for a story, if you are on the autism spectrum, do you prefer to be referred to as an autistic person or a person with autism? or any other way? I'm trying to be as respectful as possible in this story as someone who is not on the spectrum, so please tell me if there is anything I shouldn't include or any tips to making the story as appropriate and respectful as well.

hey!!! is there anyone on here who would be willing to talk to me for a few minutes abt writing an autistic character? i've got adhd, so ik abt the Neurodivergant Experiance:tm: but i'd like to talk to someone with autism specifically. i rlly feel like representation is important, and i'm excieted to write an autistic character into this project, but I really wanna do it right.

I will be. I’ve got some things lined up to share and post to raise awareness.

Also, please wear red, not blue for AAM!!!

The “Light it up Blue” campaign is a marketing campaign for Autism Speaks. So yes, if you light it up blue, you are supporting Autism Speaks. (If you absolutely have to light something up, “Light it up Gold” is a neurodiversity and autism acceptance friendly alternative.) Autism Speaks basically wants to “end autism” and none of their HUGE budget goes to helping Autistic people and their families. They use their money to find a “cure” for Autism when it is not something that can ever be cured. The rest of their money is used to advertising ridiculous marketing campaigns that are hurtful and paint Autistic people as monsters.

For any autistic people (like myself) if you have anything to share or add (please do!!!). Also for those who are not Autistic please remember that we go through this every day of the year, it doesn’t just start and end in April. To really get ourselves heard and supported more within the workplaces, society and life, please make sure to donate to charities if you can that DO help families and individuals with autism. Please, by all means, post and share on social media but please please don’t just do it for a month. This is something that does need to be talked about more. I hear it all the time “I don’t look Autistic” that’s NOT okay!!

We do need to stand together and raise awareness and support. To make the community feel loved and supported
