Cameo shifts are weird.
Especially when you're a polytherian and have difficulty pinpointing what is going on within yourself. I contemplated being avian-hearted for years. And it felt right. I believed I wasn't a bird more than "on the edges" and my yearning for flight since childhood wasn't anything significant. I make bird vocals often, but I do many animal noises as a vocal stim randomly, it has no meaning I think. I always felt connection to birds but never really felt like I am actually one of them.
And then I get hit by a full bird shift out of nowhere.
Mind empty, feeling feathers on my body, phantom wings covering my arms, feathery tail behind me...
