On top of giving all of Finn's good and honorable character traits to Kylo. Reylos also give all of Kylo's worst and most heinous character traits to Finn. Constantly demonizing him to make Kylo look better. Like the whole hand thing, where they purposefully always leave out Rey offering Finn her hand. To make it look like she only ever offered to take "Ben Solos" hand, while always rejecting Finn's/

I bet that their “let people ship who they want to” rules don’t apply when it comes to Finnrey fans. Only Reylos are allowed to get excited in assuming that the whole TROS movie is about Kylo Ren being redeemed and Reylo getting together romantically. If anyone else dares suggests that the movie has other importance for other plots/relationships/characters outside of Kylo/Reylo then they act like it’s unacceptable or out of the question to believe that way.

Didn’t you know? r3ylo shippers are the most important fan group in SW fandom. Because they love Ben and the whole sequel trilogy is about Ben, he is the hero of the movies, he has the whole tragic backstory and he looks so sad and his parents were mean to him by sending him to his uncle’s Jedi school when Ben was only 23 years old, that’s practically a small child, he was totally justified in killing half his classmates, and and and, Snoke, Snoke was at fault for everything, too, he made Ben do everything bad, Ben was torn about it, nothing is ever Ben’s fault, he’s innocent and so sexy, Pride and Prejudice somehing something, Beauty and the Beast blah blah, enemies to lovers, Rey needs to have his babies to continue Skywalker bloodline, Finn is a coward, Poe is the true villain, the throne room was red, bendemption, r3ylo babies, rising Skywalker, English degrees, you have to have a very high IQ to see all the hints  for r3ylo yadda yadda et cetera ad nauseam.

r3ylos need to get over themselves and let other people enjoy things, too. SW fandom is not their exclusive playground, no matter how much they might wish otherwise.

Why do you think that Damon is angry with Alaric? Could it have something to do with Bonnie. Like perhaps he is desiccating himself in relation to Bonnie. I'm just wondering how things will change from present day to the FF. Everything seems completely different from the present day. Like the opposite is happening with everyone.

Maybe something to do with whatever Lily is going to reveal, and the secret that Bonnie is going to be keeping in the flashforward? I wonder if it’ll be connected to the Huntress at all.

I saw some folks speculating that Damon and Alaric might have a falling out over Jo being alive, if performing the spell or being so connected to the stone has some bad effect on Bonnie. Seems feasible, idk.

Damon seems dark and a little scary in the FF. Wonder how he got to that point and how it will play into Bonnie's FF. Seems like the FF are just built for things to change and process from there when the show picks it up. I'm hoping for more Bamon interaction next week and a better episode for Bonnie overall that is not just about her helping Alaric or someone else with a spell. But an episode that is actually about Bonnie and her importance as a character.

I agree. I did think the resurrection stuff was interesting at least and it was necessary to move the plot forward, but it’s kind of overshadowed Bonnie’s voice and character at this point. Like they had her starting out the episode with the intention of letting Alaric down gently and not disturbing Jo’s spirit when it’s at peace or whatever, but then just… dropped it. I guess because of Oscar. Still. 

Between that and completely leaving her out of the party stuff/costume opportunity again (and that line they gave her that spelled out exactly how they knew we were feeling about it felt like a taunt even though I’m sure they meant it as something more tongue-in-cheek… WOULD IT HAVE BEEN SO HARD TO COME UP WITH AN EXCUSE FOR HER TO BE IN COSTUME AT THE MORGUE?? I’D TAKE THAT AT THIS POINT), the episode was a step back for her, in my eyes. It’s been downhill since 7x02, as her actions become less and less about herself and her own desires, and more and more about what the TVD creative team needs to have happen to keep the plot moving forward, reminiscent of that plot device role she occupied in seasons past. 

To be fair, it’s still leaps and bounds better than seasons past (tho if the trend continues, idk how much longer that will be true), and she’s still more vocal than she used to be about how she’s feeling, but it’s getting to mean less and less when all the against-her-own-better-judgment choices mirror the choices she would’ve made when she was swallowing said emotions down in the past.

Even that is fine, since character development doesn’t necessarily happen in a straight line fashion, and Bonnie’s selflessness might not be so easy to shake given her good heart and the power she wields… but it has to be recognized as such by the narrative, there has to be some spotlight/struggle to make her seem like a person and not just backdrop. This doesn’t seem to be given that much thought at this point, it’s regression of convenience more than anything intentional.

It’s definitely dampening my enthusiasm for things rn. I miss 7x02, which did a much better job balancing her role as the-one-with-the-magic and her own inner struggles. Can we please have some more Brian Young episodes? 

7x04 was filler tho. Like you said, next week is supposed to be a big episode for Bonnie (and Bamon doing a shot together will hopefully be fun???), and it’s one that Kat’s been saying she’s really proud of, so… fingers crossed?

The Gilberts being gone may have been the best thing that could happen to Bonnie. Both of them are no longer on the show so the writers can't just focus on isolating Bonnie with them like they used to. They are focusing more on Baroline, and she's going to have something with Enzo. Then there is the strong bond and friendship that she is building with Damon. And she's getting more screen time and focus. Overall Season 7 is working out great for her. Just need to top if off with romantic Bamon!

Actually, that was something I noticed last episode. Because even as I was frustrated with aspects of the episode, I realized that the one thing the story hasn’t seemed to be hurting at all this season is the lack of Elena. It’s interesting that it doesn’t even feel like that major a transition, considering just how different the structure of the episodes really is this season without everything revolving around that one character.

MM isn't even sure how long Bonenzo will be or how serious it will be. It could be a fling and besides the FF him and Kat may not have shot anymore romantic scenes together yet. Enzo doesn't have to be Bonnie's last love interest for the series and they still have room to build up Bamon in a way that will impact the Flash Forwards and how the characters will move on from there.

Very good points! From his interviews, it seems like outside of the flash forward scenes, he really doesn’t know how any of it is going to go. 

I’m absolutely expecting we’ll get heavier and heavier romantic Bamon development up to the point of some shocking scene where they have to confront their feelings for each other, and get scared away but will work their way back to each other after the flashforward timeline unfolds. 

And in tandem we’ll see the Bonnie/Enzo dynamic building up to whatever it is (or may be, since we still don’t know for 100% certain that it’s them) in the FFs.

We’ll just have to wait and see though, I guess.
