If B!Reader Had Met Brian in the 70's
Headcanons
You met Brian at the library where you two found yourselves doing a weird dance to get past each other in a particularly narrow little aisle.
"Sorry!" You said in unison without looking at each other's face but feet. "Sorry!" You frowned up the second time it happened.
Looking up you saw Brian giving a concerned smile.
"I'll go this way," you pointed to his right.
"Alright... I'll go that way," he pointed at your right.
Your encounters seemed to be limited to that very same aisle. A few times you saw each other during the same term until his curiosity got the best of him and he finally asked you which books you'd been reading.
He was astonished to find that you were doing a paper on the history of science in Great Britain.
"What's your major?"
"History," you smiled up at the tall youngster and he blinked repeatedly in response. "Yours?"
"Astrophysics," he smiled with his canines showing. "Perhaps I can help you...?"
"Y/N," you put your hand out for him to shake, a friendly smile spread across your features.
"Brian."
You were two fools in love for the longest time after that.
Brian was constantly visiting you at your job at a bakery. Not so much for himself but for Roger and Freddie who constantly took advantage of the small treats you always offered them free of charge.
"Stop..." Brian would constantly try to make the boys behave, "won't they take this off your pay check?"
You never got in trouble for the pastries so you smiled down at him as he sat with his friends, a cup of steaming tea in front of him as he looked up.
"You always come by so late, it's either hoping you eat them or throwing them out. I hate to waste food, and I know I won't eat them at home. Eat up, Bri!"
Freddie made it obvious he thought you were too sweet for Brian, although he was teased about it by his other bandmates constantly.
"A fucking history major! Are you sure, Brian?" Roger would play with him.
"Don't ruin what we have with her. Those biscuits are heavenly!"
"I thought you were seeing that other girl..." Deaky would say.
He was seeing that other girl.
But still you would come to every single one of the band's gigs.
You had quite a flirty relationship with Roger although it wasn't serious since he knew Brian had some sort of interest in you.
It took Freddie plenty of attempts but he managed to take you along to see his favourite designer.
You wound up becoming quite close with Dominique.
Not so much with Chrissie... she thought you and Brian spent too much time together.
When you were told that Brian was getting married you started crying without knowing why until Freddie kindly pulled you aside and made you see the fool you were since you were in love with Brian all along and were the only one who wouldn't know it.
Chrissie backed off a bit after the wedding but you took a few steps back from your friendship with Brian.
You almost cheated with Brian in the late 70's, though you couldn't and ended up having a falling out with Brian...
For which he got SO MUCH shit from everyone, especially Freddie.
Let me know if you would like me to go on and expand on this with either Brian or Roger!
