I think the reason why Taylor makes people uncomfortable, specifically the media and men, is because she gives off a certain innocence and femininity but at the same time is a GREAT business women, an intelligent mind, and is absolutely fierce and bold when she needs to stand up for herself. They pick on her and she talks back incredibly well through satire (shake it off, blank space, TIWWCHNT, LWYMMD, YNTCD, etc.) while also remaining graceful and grateful. I think that makes people uncomfortable because they can’t put her into a nice little box. They can’t call her a bitch. They can’t call her stupid. They can’t call her ignorant. They can’t call her arrogant. They tried to put her in one little box in 2016 and she. learned. from. it. and took control of that narrative. And when people are like Taylor it makes them uncomfortable because they can’t control her and her narrative. And when men can’t control a woman, it scares them.
