I have zero problem with the bag policy @petco has implemented. I do, however, have a problem with the LIE told in their sign. This store is NOT in the City of Cincinnati and there is ZERO bag ordinance in their locale. Just because your mailing address says Cincinnati does not mean you are IN Cincinnati nor are you subject to the city laws. In fact, Ohio HB 242, signed by Governor DeWine, effectively BANS BAG BANS in the state for a year. So, don’t lay the blame on someone else for your policy of charging for plastic bags. Aloha, all! Here's my Calabash comic strip that's featured in today's Honolulu Star-Advertiser newspaper! • Honolulu has had a bag rule for a while but I think they're really enforcing it. All establishments (aside from restaurants and take out food places) must charge 15¢ per bag (plastic/paper etc) even at grocery stores.
