Our 25th subclass for Dungeons and Dragons is here, the Path of the Wicked Fey Barbarian!

Barbarians who follow the Path of the Wicked Fey draw on the chaotic nature of the Fey Courts, they attack without restraint, and they ensure their foes regret every choice that led them to their demise. The wickedness of these merciless warriors can draw on the ire of Summer Court or the cruelty of the Winter Court, both inspiring different kinds of combat prowess. Those following the Path of the Wicked Fey hold no remorse for their foes, because in the Courts of the Fey, only the strong and cunning rise to power.

Path of the Wicked Fey is a Barbarian subclass designed for Dungeons & Dragons 5.5e. Here's a preview of the features you can find with the Wicked Fey Barbarian:

Contempt of Court. When you activate your Rage, you choose between the powers of the Summer or Winter court, and that magic avails itself to you instantly. For the duration of your rage, the Summer Court empowers your attacks, while the Winter punishes your foes for raising a weapon against you.

Knowledge of the Fey. Most people look at the strength of Barbarians and think they're mindless brutes. You are as cunning as those whose rage you emulate, and your knowledge of the Fey Realms is unmatched.

Sidhe Malevolence. The two magics of the Fey Courts within you give you the power to weaken the resolve of your enemies in key moments of battle. The Summer Court affects your enemies offense, while the Winter their defense.

Court's Mercy. The Fey are known for swift judgement and punishment, but they can also be generous and rewarding to their allies. You know how to treat your friends, and how to best protect them with boons of your own.

Archfey's Judgement. You have the potential to tap into the deepest magic of the Fey Courts and empower yourself further, turning your Summer Court tactics into a flurry of deadly blows. Or protect yourself against deadly magical attacks with the Winter Court and move swiftly to your foes.

While on the Path of the Wicked Fey, how will you wield your power and fury? Do you follow the lessons and principles of the Fey Courts, punishing any who dare question or disrespect you? Or will you be more kind and understanding, reserving your wrath for only the truly despicable?

Are you a warrior enthralled by combat and love making an spectacle out of it? Or do you simply seek fame and glory and love being the center of attention? In any case, this new barbarian subclass may be the one for you! With it, we aimed for a “gladiator-like” subclass but a with a bit of inspiration from “Draven from League of Legends” for the overall flavor of it. You have some optional features for it too, so you can customize it more to fit your playstyle better.

💥✨ THE BARBARIAN SUBCLASS STICKER REVEAL ✨💥

The tavern doors slam open. The crowd goes quiet. A mug shatters. And then... four Barbarians stomp onto the floor like the absolute chaos gremlins they are.

Berserker crashes in first, dual-wielding rage and bad decisions. “Exhaustion? Don’t know her.”

Zealot follows, glowing like a divine rave light. “Your god didn’t send me... I am the smite.”

Path of the Giant doesn’t bother with the door. They just duck their head and tear out the roof beams. “Sometimes you rage so hard, you just.. become tall"

Totem Warrior strolls in last, flanked by their emotional support bear, eagle, and wolf. “My spirit animal says: reckless attack”

Now they’re all here, clattering tankards and starting fights, daring you to pick a favorite. Or don’t—slap all four stickers on your gear and embrace the rage lifestyle.

⚠️ Side effects may include: reckless attacking in inappropriate situations, sudden shouting, and increased sticker damage while raging. ⚠️

Path of the Divine There are those who would lose themselves in the ecstasy of the divine, and those who would use their strength to push their god’s agenda forward. Those that would be the point of the spear. Those that would win.

Radiant Weapon

When you find this path at 3rd level you become wreathed in divine light. When you rage you can concentrate this light into any weapon you are proficient with. This weapon deals radiant damage.

Devoted Blade

Starting at 6th level when you wield your radiant weapon, your reach increases by 5ft.

Prayer

When you reach 10th level, your radiant weapon gains a bonus to attack and damage rolls equal to half of your proficiency bonus rounded down.

Crusader

Beginning at 14th level your weapon now leaves scalding wounds on its targets. If you hit a creature with all of your attacks in a turn, that creature starts taking 1d6 radiant damage at the start of its turns until it takes a turn to soothe the wounds.

As the green dragon tears through the forest, trees uprooted and dirt thrown through the air, the young firbolg grips her obsidian battleax. With an echoing cry, she strikes down on the creature's next with the fury of a raging landslide.

Back to barbarian! Barb has several classes revolving around animals (both Totem and Beast) so I figured it would make sense to do something focused on plants and the other side of nature.
