Plushies For Hope Valentines Day Project 2026

We are reaching out with hopeful hearts as Plushies for Hope prepares for another meaningful Valentine’s activity for our warriors and their families.

Plushies for Hope is a volunteer-driven group dedicated to supporting children with long-term illnesses and chronic medical conditions. Beyond medical assistance, we strive to give our warriors and their families something just as important: Moments of normalcy amid long and difficult journeys.

Every year, we celebrate Valentine’s Day differently. Instead of flowers and chocolates, we create experiences that allow our warriors to feel like children again. In 2024, we brought them to Malabon Zoo.

In 2025, we shared unforgettable memories at Manila Ocean Park.

This coming year, we hope to bring our warriors to Pradera Islands Theme Park located in Lubao Pampanga.

To make this possible, we are humbly seeking sponsorship and support from kind individuals, organizations, and partners who share our mission. Assistance in any form, transportation, entrance fees, meals, or other logistical support, would mean so much to our warriors and their families.

I Love My Country

Our country is but a shadow of a lie.

Our freedom is secretively bought.

What we thought of as democracy -

is a transaction behind the curtains

of the crazed corrupt political bigots.

It is all run by cash and manipulation,

Preying on the weakness and enervations,

sentimentality in the denizens of the nation.

Media is used in exhaustive

repetitive prostrate fashion,

A brainwashing tool to hide and control the agenda of the 'big' as a whole.

Controversies - its major tool to blur out what is currently happening to and about.

I've never even heard of news as fake?

Fake news? It shouldn't even be called 'news' in the first place

(that's just gossip or misinformation or rumors with no base)

at least not if it's deemed as untrue or fake.

'Fake news', controversy, celebrity 'gossip'

used on the cities and the towns, the state

to dampen the senses of the true.

Patriotism is warped into fanaticism,

or mistakenly called forth to create plain ignorant talks and topics

while we celebrate our personalities

on the big or small screen tv's.

All we watch is romance and action,

keeping us on addiction-induced inhibitions,

And for those who are not glued to localities -

what we preach online is makeup

and pop craze material trivialities.

Where is the nation with the notion of fair opinion, companionship, and Bayanihan?

All we do is bash, insult, berate, shamelessly shame our fellow countrymen.

If we attribute oneness and community to us as a people, as a culture and as a race,

Shouldn't that extend to digital areas and online public infinities?

Or are we just hypocrites of a people?

Talk but then not practice these core principles that humans have gone with

as a true sign of oneness and understanding?

What are we now as a national body?

Voicing out, opinionated trolls

but no heart, soul, communal practice, and compassion for even those 'kabayan' who are our "own",

Yes we are free about to speak our mind

but is being 'right' or 'righteous'

more important than being friendly and kind?

Are we a nation of the herd mind?

or are we a society, a culture of the woke kind?
