Topbox — August 2017
Unboxing my August 2017 @TopboxCA
For my second Topbox(referral link) after resubscribing this summer, I didn’t “wish” for any of the special “Privé” boxes, because even though some of the brands were higher end/interesting (Bobbi Brown, Dr. Belmeur, Glamglow, Missha, Too Faced, etc.), I wasn’t enthralled by the actual products on offer, or their value. One option was actually a tarte eyeliner that costs $16 normally, so I’d be…

School Summer Vacations have begun and it’s time for all the family holidays. What better way to prep for the holiday than with ‘The Beauty Trippin’ May Fab Bag.
This Funky yet glam bag was designed with the holiday travel in mind. With the slogan “Work Sleep Travel Repeat” this is ideal for me, cause that’s just what life is.. work, sleep, travel & repeat!
It makes the ideal travel pouch and is perfect to carry all my daily essentials. It was packed to the brim, in fact it was overflowing… Just love receiving such over stuffed bags… shows such value for money!
The products I got this month are:
Be A Bombshell Eye Shadow Crayon
Johara Pro Shine Nail Colour
Soap Square Foot Soak
Inatur: Olive Cleansing Milk
Elize Premium Sanitary Pads
Veet Ready to Use Wax Strips
Let’s go through them all with a quick first impressions review:
Be A Bombshell Eye Shadow Crayon
This was the one product I was expecting because as usual we received a product of choice for our May Fab Bag, and this was chosen by me. The choice was amongst quite a few products this month, eye shadows, lipsticks & eye crayons. Chose the “High Roller” Be A Bombshell Eye Shadow Crayon as this was shade I was eyeing for a while. A nice emerald green shade with a light shimmery finish. Absolutely beautiful.
Price : ₹1200 for a crayon of 2.5gm
Johara Pro Shine Nail Colour
Received this beautiful bottle of nail lacquer in the shade “Pink Youth”. This nail polish applies smoothly, has a long lasting formula and a glossy finish. The brand itself boasts about products created with botanical extracts and evolve from pure science so have high expectations from this product.
Price : ₹250 for 10ml
Soap Square Foot Soak
This Crushed Roses Foot Soak was the best surprise in this bag. I absolutely love a good foot soak and this smells amazing. It really helps destress and relax the feet. Warm water and a handful of these magical crystals makes life better after a long day!
Price : ₹225 for a 70gm
Inatur: Olive Cleansing Milk
It is so essential to clean your face, remove make-up and let your skin breathe. This cleansing milk is perfect to ensure just that. Not too runny this is a perfect consistency cleansing milk with a subtle sweet calming fragrance. Dabbed on a cotton round, it’s ideal to wipe off all the make-up and grime built over the day.
Price : ₹225 for 100ml
Elize Premium Sanitary Pads
This was a big surprise as I never received such products in a Fab Bag before. Received two premium sanitary pads from Elize. Heard about the brand before but in all honestly find this to be extremely over priced for regular use but excited to see what’s the hype about. The full size is a nice blue designer box containing our sanitary supplies for the month. Each pad is individually packed in a zip lock bag making for discreet and easy disposal.
Price : ₹100 for 2 pads.
Veet Ready to Use Wax Strips
I have used Veet several times before so this ain’t a new product to me. Love the convenience these pre-waxed strips provide. It’s extremely easy to use but not everyone finds the courage to wax themselves. Very handy when we need a quick clean up. I received the variety for sensitive skin and having used it before I know it really does provide the calming effect it promises.
Price : ₹99 for 8 strips and 2 perfect finish wipes.
This month we received a bunch of amazing products and I am so happy with the curation. The products are amazing for the summer and the variety of brands is a bonus. This month Fab Bag once again proved it’s value!

Hi everyone,
Today’s blog post is all about the Sweet Sparkle February Box. The theme of this month was Kiss of Winter.
I did not film a video however, I created a makeup look using all of the products and took pictures in between steps to write up a blog post.
I am really enjoying the fact that now we get a card with all the items written down on it plus a little description on each of them and the retail cost. This really helps in seeing whether the box is worth it!
Before applying any of the products
Concrete Minerals – Mineral Eyeshadow – Shade Sweet Catrina – Retails for $8
This is a 100% vegan and cruelty free product. It has quite a soft texture and is a pink-champagne shade that flatters all eye colors with a light shimmer.
My thoughts – I found that this isn’t really pigmented and you need to apply a lot of product if you want to get the colour onto your eyelid. Although, I have yet to try it with some sort of setting spray which might help the pigmentation pop.
Be a Bombshell – Baked Blush – Shade Teacher’s Pet – Retails for $6
This is a baked mineral refined into a powder formula for the ideal baked blush. It enhances your cheekbones with its lightweight glimmer of pink and gold.
My thoughts – Since it has shimmers in it, your pore friends on your skin are going to speckle through and I personally do not like it! The colour is cute, the packaging is great; but as a product it isn’t my favourite.
Kokie Cosmetics – Dynamic Due Eyeliner – Retails for $8
The products entails to be a long wear, intense black and smudge free eyeliner. It is a double-ended liquid liner used to create a matte finished look that will last all night.
My thoughts – I loved the eyebrow pencil we got from Kokie in January however, this isn’t a favourite product of mine. The felt tip pen side is great however, the other side isn’t. When I try to go over the line, the black becomes patchy. It is true that it doesn’t smudge and it is quite long lasting. However, it doesn’t create an intense black look.
Crown Cosmetics – Pro Volumizing Mascara – Retails for $4.99
The mascara entails to lengthen, volumise and define lashes. The large wand akes your lashes to new lengths without clumping them.
My thoughts – The wand is pretty harsh on the edges so it isn’t my favourite wand. However, I love the effect of this mascara on my lashes. It doesn’t clump them together and the formula doesn’t transfer to my eyelids.
LA Splash – Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick – Shade Cookie Dough – Retails for $14
The shade is dessert like and it has a velvet matte formula and is waterproof. It also exfoliates, moisturises and applies for a long lasting sultry look.
My thoughts – I love the rose gold packaging it is just adorable! The dofer applicator is perfect to help us achieve the perfect lip look. The smell though isn’t my favourite as it has this weird scent! But it really does last long, it isn’t patchy and it isn’t drying!
The Finished Look
Have you ever tried any of these products?
Thank you so much for reading!

June Fun 7/15/2016
The month of June is Over ! Where and how did i miss a whole month? It is pretty darn easy when you can’t work , can’t walk and are so exhausted that all you can do is try to sleep . Summer is hard for me because unlike everyone trying to soak up all those rays of sunshine . I am avoiding it, like my life depended on it .
Oh wait , It does .
I am going crazy, it’s so hard when I want to do…

August 2016 empties
Whee, things I got rid of! Some of these I actually finished in the first few days of September, but we’re splitting hairs here. LUSH Cup o’ Coffee Face and Body Mask – This was pretty pleasant, but I’m not sure I’d repurchase it. I’m moving away from manual exfoliation to chemical. Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel Mist – The second ingredient in this was alcohol. o_O No indication of…
