They were, in fact, not safe
hii sorry I know this is old af </3
My personal take: I think it's safe to say that both The Beasts AND The Ancients can be easily yanderes, with the only difference that, well, The Beasts already are a bit fucked up (I mean, Eternal Sugar is a canon yandere, most second more likely to be would be Shadow Milk), so they're more obvious about it while the second is more subtle or slow
Why? Most typical reasons are that they're immortal, meaning they've lived long enough to see everyone they love die (note: Golden Cheese), all of them have been through some nasty trauma and they come to the painful realization of just how fragile cookies can be, affecting their view in a potential relationship— which ends up developing as obsession, fear and overprotection. After all, the life of an immortal can get pretty lonely
anyways have your hubby
also also my take on each beast and ancient as a yandere bc why not. Long ass ramble/headcanons under the cut

can i order a the Ancients and Beasts x pure child reader please ?? Like everytime they go on an adventure, every enemy are gentle and want to protect them ? How would the Ancients take care of them like their child and the Beasts take care of them too ?
That'd be adorable! Hope you don't mind but I used headcanons on this to better put all my thoughts into it!
They/Them for the kid!
The Beasts might let you keep a pet...
Mystic Flour insists that Cloud Haetae is already a pet you both share and asks them to curl up on your lap as evidence. They do enjoy being doted on and pet.
Burning Spice thinks on it for a while before finding some random tiger cub and gifting it to you. Congratulations, it hopefully will not devour you some day. It is quite cute and cuddles into you while making pitiful cries. Nutmeg Tiger watches this with feelings of confusion in her chest.
Eternal Sugar thinks on it before agreeing. A Sugar Dove is gifted to you. There seems to be nothing but good tidings as she watches you befriend it. Your smile is everything to her. Yet, she is confused why it falters when the dove reveals its clipped wings, preventing true flight.
Shadow Milk begrudgingly takes a rabbit from its post as a guard and gifts it to you to silence you. He was going through a moment and could not bear your needs for attention. However, he becomes more and more jealous of the rabbit, receiving all your attention and adoration. Taking it from you is not an option, he knows, but he can not stand this.
Silent Salt feels sorrowful for your loneliness and wishes for nothing more than to alleviate it. So, upon finding an orphaned foal, you both begin to care for it together. Slowly, the animal comes to adore you both, happily neighing and running over. The horse becomes beloved by each of you.

A/N: I avoided using pronouns for Eternal Sugar and Silent Salt Cookie since they both don't have confirmed genders, and since they're unreleased I'm basically guessing their personalities

ᯓᡣ𐭩 Burning Spice loved using your talents for celebrations. He's an extremely prideful Cookie, and the ambrosia you brewed was better than anything on Earthbread. He always made sure to order in whole jugs of it, especially for when he won over Golden Cheese
ᯓᡣ𐭩 As the Herald of Change, he used your drinks as a sort of pick-me-up. Whenever he was stewing in his turmoil, a bottle of ambrosia with you was his favorite way of relaxing, if only for a while
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Eternal Sugar would use your gifts to bond. A quiet moment with you shared over praising your talent was a great way to get closer, especially when Sugar could laze around drinking with you rather than working
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Before becoming a beast, Eternal Sugar would almost always take time off to just drink with you. A moment of calm, Sugar lounging around and consuming all Sugar can in the carved out free time
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Silent Salt always drinks right before a fight. Salt's concentration is always so sharp that not even the strongest wine could dull it, so Silent Salt deemed it harmless to indulge just a little
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Even when Silent Salt wasn't known as an amethyst knight, Silent would use your talent to keep busy when in a noisy situation that Silent didn't want to be in. Silent would also stay right by your side, being a social shield for you so no one could bother you
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Mystic Flour essentially never drinks, but she remembers receiving your bottles fondly and never turns down ambrosia when it's offered. Though she has to be careful not to open her eyes, or it would immediately sour
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Back when she was granting gifts, your ambrosia was what she'd always adore the most. It was an offering that she gladly accepted, rejuvenating her just a little longer to push through the day
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Shadow Milk would basically drink for any reason. To celebrate, when bummed out, for really any excuse he felt deserved it. Ambrosia is sweeter and richer than anything on Earthbread, so of course he wanted to indulge whenever possible
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Before lies and deceit became all he knew, he used to split it with you over work. It'd be a way to try and work through the realization of existence together. A dull cure, but something that helped nevertheless

Chapter one: Tale of the first night.
You're tired.
You've always been tired, for as long as you began to think of yourself as a human being, a gnawing sense of emptiness followed your soul like a plague. Questions flooded your head with meaningless answers following soon after. No matter how much you rolled above your bed, slumber never claimed you if not when you're mentally exhausted. Sleepless nights were the worst ones, but not uncommon. You pick up your phone, seeking solace in any dose of dopamine your brain would take out of your favorite game, unlocking the screen as you yawned from the exposure of light so close to your cornea, making your eyes water as you blink emotionless tears away. Though, that is not nearly enough for you to feel exhaustion hit to its fullest, though your body seemed to scream for a break. Your pulses hurt from holding the device, and once the distraction wasn't enough, you sat up. Feet on the plush carpet in front of your bed, playing with the fabric mindlessly with your toes. In a moment of nihilistic thoughts, you unwrapped your from away from the blanket. Your gaze went up from the floor, speaking to yourself in your cold, yet not so silent, desolation.
" Is there something for me, beyond this? "
You sigh, looking at yourself in the mirror. Analyzing everything to know how you would criticize your flaws later. Your fingertips touch your three birthmarks just above your forehead at the roots of your hair, soon tracing down to stop and cup your cheeks, your palms following milliseconds after. You feel the warmth of your own touch, letting them roll across your shoulders and rest above your arms. You hugged your own body, seeking refuge from your mind in this freezing weather. Yet, amidst your suffering, the soft tapping of glass could be head from afar, albeit muffled. You look to your window, the moon shining brightly in it's full yellowish glory, although dark clouds of heavy rain were drowning your city with it's cold embrace. Your eyes blink shortly, your eyes unfocused as if staring into a void began indulging the sudden need of going outside at the back of your mind without any words needed. And, after many minutes of muffled thoughts, you do. Leaving your house with nothing but your keys and the clothes on your body.
After closing the door, and locking it, you sat on the ground, extending your legs above the wet grass and the soon to be muddy soil. You look up, letting the water fall onto you freely. It lands in your eyes, too. It makes you smile, reminding you of your childhood. Times when you were full of interest for all that the world had to offer. Indeed, and even after all this time, you catch yourself thinking about your comfort games. You dont have the privilege of spending much time playing them nowadays, but still do it when you can. As expected, your body flinches. Your nose wrinkling upwards until–
" Achi– "
You groan right after the not so sudden sneeze. You have work tomorrow, and youre not rich to make yourself stay at home with so many debts to your name. Under your eyelids, you notice a sudden blurry blue spark at the corner of your eyes, but brushed it off since you're feeling a bit drowsy. Forcing your eyes to stay open, you made you decision. Even if you'd like staying under the night for a tad bit longer, you went up to go back inside. To say you're a mess is an understatement, but that's to no one's ne surprise. Not to yourself, at least. At least the sensation of letting go of your thoughts for these short seconds permitted your mind to feel at ease. Before you could ever thought of cleaning yourself, an odd sound catches your interest. Your turn around, trying to identify its source. And, when you look down, you spot a black furred bunny, one that had a white mark above its right eye. You tilted your head, then crouched slowly. Animals always seemed to draw you in, no matter how dangerous. Not roaches tough. These are the devil's children. You shake your head, trying to focus on the being's state. You stepped a tad bit closer to the bush it was bitting on, probably seeking food tough it's eyes remained closed. Perhaps it's blind? You're also a bit uncomfortable talking about the animal as a "thing". You should come up with a name, and fast.
" What are you doing here? Its raining a lot, isn't it could outside? "
It seemed to take note of your gentle demeanor towards it, hopping on its chubby legs and sinking its head under your palms to keep its face warm. You're surprised to say the least, but happy nonetheless. You began to move yourself towards your door, not holding it in your arms just yet, fearing that you'll scary the drenched animal away. It followed you, perhaps you didn't take notice yet because of the surrounding darkness of nighttime, but it's eyes were closed the whole time, even as it was supposed to. Even so, it followed you just perfectly. It's senses more than sharp enough to keep track of your scent. You let it sniff your fingertips, trying to build trust in between you, and once it got comfortable above your palms, your raised it from the ground, gently cradling it in your arms. You reached for the door handle, opening the door quickly to get away from the rain.
" We're getting a long, warm bath. I have pretty good food.. um, vegetables, for you. "
Yet, just as you took the first step into your house the bunny disappeared, leaving only a trail of smoke which held a lingering scent of candy and milk. You coughed, using your hands to blow away the sudden smoke out of your face. Yet, the move wasn't nearly enough. Instead, more inconsistencies came to you. You stepped backwards, but the door was already shut. Your hands hurriedly tried to open it, but meaningless were your efforts. Suddenly, only to heighten your growing anxiety, your floor began to turn liquid around you. Out of panic, you ran away from the door, trying to find a window to get out of the house. Still, fate has other plans. Your walls became mirrors, and the ceiling, too, fell. Not on you, but upwards. You ran towards your room, feeling trapped in a way you've never felt. Neither would you think of encountering yourself in such situation. As you arrived, said window, your only route of escape, had, too, turned into a mirror.
" Meow. "
Your head turns almost immediately. A cat, right above your bed. It stares at you, tail moving calmly as if to tranquil you. Instead of getting close to it, you watch attentively, stepping onto your bed as the floor continued to fall into nothingness. It landed on top of your falling wardrobe with elegance, doing a small jump and getting pulled upwards. Having no other option than to trust wathever it was trying to tell you, even if you had your share of animals today, your collapsing bed urged the passing of your time. You tried, as much as you could, to stand firm on both legs. And with that, a few seconds later, you were pulled towards a red rift in the sky. Your limbs were sprawled, gravity had no long it's control on your body as your form lost its source of balance. And, with a sudden stop, your eyes snapped open. Your lungs take a sharp breath in, so deep that you end up coughing in response, turning on your side and gripping the oddly textured grass underneath your palms. Its still raining, and the moon shines just as beautifully as you've seen her minutes ago. Your heart still beats against your ribs, your breathing erratic as you take in a sight that leaves your mouth to open in pure shock.
" Where– where the FUCK am I?! "
You take in the vision of a barren land in front of you, and, as you turned around, a grand castle. You went up immediately, brushing your hands against your clothes to clean yourself from the dirt. The grass you touched was dry, almost as if decaying alongside its soil. No trees could be seen in here, and the sight made you shiver with dread. Fortunately, the castle's gates seemed to be open, and no guards were around there.
" So weird... why isn't there any guards? This– this whole thing doesn't make any sense! "
Having no other choice but to move forward, you take in another sight that has you breathless. The kingdom around the castle seems to have many farms, vivid trees and countless fruits ready to be plucked. Your stomach growls, but you gulp down the need. No matter what you're feeling right now, you have to understand the situation.
" Mrow. "
Again, you see the cat. This time, it walks towards you after jumping down from the tree it was resting. It brushes against your legs, then leaves before you could pet it properly. You followed it, albeit more slowly than it's quick steps, having no direction whatsoever. You've followed it before, so what if you do it another time? It goes straight for the kingdom castle, stopping by the door and scratching the wood as if to tell you to get in. And so, you walk towards the main door. You knock, but don't yell. Scared of what may come to you if you disrupt the peace around the village. In few seconds, you are met with a mesmerizing beauty. A woman, much taller than you, with floating blond hair and white robes fit for royalty. Her overall demeanor is gentle, but you can feel a certain radiant power emanating from her, almost having you bowing if not for you utter state of shock and self awareness of your own barren clothing. It also makes you wonder why would she of all people answer the door.
" Yes? Oh, goodness. What has come upon you? Take a step in, we have much space inside. "
She reached out for your hand, waiting for you to to reach it. And you do, despite knowing yourself so not to trust others so easily, you cant help but feel calmer aroun her. The cat brushed against the woman's legs, and she smiled, petting it gently under the ears before straightening herself back to her poised form.
" It seems you both have taken quite the adventure, travelers. "
With those few words, she doesn't ask about your origins, and just let you both head inside without any worries. Still, her words intrigue you.
" Travelers? "
She tilts her head lightly, her gaze slightly surprised yet still expecting your reaction.
" Hm? Oh no, don't tell me you haven't been introduced to him yet. A shame, yet such is the way of life. "
She chuckles as you raise your eyebrow, tilting your head as you glanced at the cat for a few seconds. She never kept any type of physical contact as she leads you through a grandiose hall, turning left. The stained glass shine through the darkness, filling the corridors with colorful hues and spreading out light without any need of torches or chandeliers. As you walked behind her, your attention began to drift towards the patterns in those glasses. Each appeared to portray one of fifteen women in total, seven in your current hall, another seven at the other side of it, and the last one, looking at lot like your seemingly kind guide, stayed in the middle part that held enough space to fit a ballroom. The halls were separated by five large pillars on the left and right side, lesving enough space for you to glance at the other stained glasses. The whole structure of the place was oftenly round and curved at the top like a dome as the two corridors extened right behind the largest stained glass in front of that same ballroom, shining with a soft golden light upon all. You spotted, too, odd looking crystals in the hands of six of them. Three in this hall, and other three at the other. One held a heart, with vibrant rose red and light candy red hues following her glass. Her hair, wild and curly, seemed to thrive and bast in animosity as her gem, a sharp edged heart with eletric pink shards was held as a collar over her chest emanated a pleasent aura of confidence, making you smile just slightly as you took in her widely spread arms, most likely that she'd be willing to embrace the world with her joy, berries covering the whole corners of the composition in lighter shades of red and pink. The other, in softer cadet blue and turquoise shades around the softly held woman had a more complex form of gem on top of both palms, as if cradling it as she seemed to be weeping, or simply healing the world with nothing other intention other then heartfelt care. This gem had a sharp v edge at its bottom and three circles following it. Two in the middle, and another at the top, colored in ocean blue shards. Both of her eyes were closed, and a light but pleasant smell of milk could be sniffed. You could feel the genuine concern emanating from it bring a single tear down your right cheek, making you sigh as you began to analyze the third Gem Herald of this hallway. This time, you're met with an overly familiar figure. Yet your attention is pulled back to the present time. Her tone is gentle, yet amused, hands hovering in front of her stomach with grace, as she speaks.
" Interested? Very well, indulge yourself. "
You look back at her, not even digesting her words fully, not noticing you had paused in front of the third vitral. Somehow, even with few colors, you just knew this woman was embracing the night as if part of her own being. Her vitral ushered tones of true purple and purpleish blue, yet her gem shone in a soft, light magenta color. The gem, however, was also one of the complex ones. No because of it's shape, a thick waxing crescent moon with its sharp edges facing up on her chest, but because a smaller gem of the same color hovered above it. Literally. It wasn't glued to the glass, but instead seemed to rotate around the it's main body, its size just enoughto complete the moon to a full one. No matter how you looked at it, the woman's eyes stared back at you with the same sense of curiosity you feel at this moment, and not only that, her wand intregues you deeply with its upside down tear drop like structure and sharp edged sides that reminds you of the constellation of scorpio. Your fascination goes on towards the cat beside her at the far etched back of the composition, the animal is curled in a perfect ball, forming a new moon in black hues despite all the purple, purple and green grapes circling around the vitral. The blonde woman, who's name you have yet to know, kept her eyes on you the whole time. You, on the other hand, look at her only now for the reality of the situation finally seems to sink under your skin, making the tip of your stomach twist with unease.
" That's.. who is– this place, what's going on?! I– just wanted to feed a goddman rabbit–! "
For the first time you've arrived, she touches your shoulders, letting her palms lay on them so softly you almost felt cradled by her warmth.
" I am Fóz, crown princess of this kingdom with no name. I am known, by our coven, as the witch of light. And you, "
You paused, feeling your breath leave your loungs so fast that you could inhale properly until you looked at the black cat sat right beside your left feet, then back at her light yellow gaze. This time, you take notice of the sun marking on her forehead.
" are just in time. Therefore, i kindly ask you not to fret. We have much time to discuss what is of worry. "
Your mind begs you to continue your inquiry, but Fóz is correct. All of this only drained you from a somewhat stable state of mind. You nodded, humming lowly. Though, still curious, you speak up.
" Why isn't there any doors here? We've only walked through glasses and the main hall... I couldn't see any upper floor, too. "
She laughs shortly against her left hand, taking her right hand off your shoulder too.
" We have no need for those here. Even so, forgive my sudden interruption, but could you be kind enough to grace me with your name? "
She looked down, smiling and nodding at the cat that only rested its maw upon your feet that oly stared up at you, its tail swaying slowly as if it'd like to hear you say it, paying attention as it kept itself laid on the ground without a care in the world.
" Oh my. Traveler from beyond the veil, I think he would like to know your name as well. "
You hummed, telling her your name and waving at her awkwardly, regretting the action almost immediately.
" Beyond the veil? So you knew i was coming? Were you... the one that–? "
She shook her head, sensing your urging sense of danger away. Once you both reached a side oak door just at the corner wall behind the main stained glass, she speaks.
" We were expecting you, that is true. But we aren't the ones that took you away from your land. I would never approve such forceful way. "
" Then who did? "
She opens the door, holding out her hand for you to grip. Albeit slowly, you do.
" I don't know. Now please, take a deep breath, and hold it in. "
You do just as she told you to, trying to keep that way as her left hand ushered a golden magic circle before she stepped in — falling with you sky high before she seemed to stop mid-air, and so did you. To say you're in panic is an understatement. At this instance, your feed are standing in the sky. She nods gently at you, her eyes closing for a moment before you coughed out of nervousness.
" You–! Im– at least a warning! "
" You wouldn't have agreed, nor believed, if I told you. "
You groaned, sighing.
" Still, how's it... possible to walk on nothing? "
" We're walking on air, not nothing. "
And, before you realized it, the cat had also made the jump, walking forward more confidently than you ever could at this moment from the sheer power of the height under your feet, making you shiver with fright.
" Where are we even going? "
You mumbled, your eyes closed as tou tried to breathe in calmly, making your brain force itself to rationalize the situation.
" The castle, of course! "
" Huh?! You mean– so the upper floor is– "
Immediately, you looked up, only to gasp at the sight of the flying castle, much bigger than the one on the ground.
" Our spells and experiments are sometimes dangerous for the people, so we secluded ourselves here as a way of protecting them from us. Most people dont know of oour coven, and those who do, wish to destroy it. "
You feel like you're about to faint.
" Let us continue, he might become impatient. "
" The cat doesn't have a name? "
She shook her head, letting you hug her arm as you passed through the gates, entering the witches castle for the first time in your life. Yet, just as you took the first step in, an overwhelming sense of familiarity engulfed your soul. You're forgetting something, but you're not sure what it is. This time, many women come rushing to greet Fóz, who looks at you for a few seconds in silence. She hums, tilting her head as you finally realized that you're still holding her arm, making you jump back in embarrassment and turn your gaze away from their interaction.
" You're late. You're having fun without us now? Wow. "
A tan skinned curly red head speaks in a teasing tone, crossing her arms as she stood in classy clothes. Her panaled skirt went all the way down her ankles, a white shirt following the look with many ruffles under the skirt, sleeves and tie. And, just like in the stained glass, the Gem was on her collar followed by a classic black witch hat.
" Moúro, could you lower your voice? What if you scare the newcomer? "
An albino speaks right after her, looking at you with gentleness, yet turned her gaze to the side with her cheeks lightly tinted in pink due to embarrassment, yet not fast enough for you to notice the moles underneath her right cheek and above that same side eye. Her white dress was slightly form fitting at the waist and sides, yet held a loose in a much lowered mermaid petticoat form at the ankles, her flowered veil like white witch hat descending slightly down her forehead, a key like staff being a striking contrast of gold. It bears her Gem as she holds her staff with both hands, fingerless gloves covering around the base of her middle fingers as the fabric stretched itself from the end of the long puffy juliet sleeves.
" Dont worry Gála, the others already made the preparations! Im sure she'll be delighted with what she'll see! "
Another one, with two grand braids of ultra pink and a circus like attire jumps in excitement, yet doesn't make a move on you though she seems elated to do so. All of them seemed to be waiting for something before another witch, dressed in a deeper shade of blue descended with a broom, landing with precision on her black boots. Her skirt is knee length in a cobalt blue shade, white ruffles underneath her skirt alongside a black shirt that reaches until her wrists and high on her neck, a silver colar around it in a shape that reminded you of those picture having necklaces. Her hat is the same color as her dress, said one having a v line that shows the shirt underneath. Her hair and eyes are pitch black, straight forehead bangs in a hime bob thst reaches just barely under her chin. She puts her hands on her hips, as if already expecting all of this commotion.
" Seriously, you guys need to get away from her royal highness for a while, its clearly unhealthy for your brains. You're behaving like children. "
She sighed, ignoring the pout on the ultra pink haired woman that too had a gem of her on, a tangerine colored triangle in the middle of her belly, was making at her. You wondered why this witch didn't have one, too. But she noticed your staring, and glared back at you.
" Newcomer, im sure you have a lot of questions. These four are true masters at delaying matters, let's get you somewhere we can actually focus. "
Fóz only laughs, heartedly this time, waving as both you and the cat are dragged in a not so rude but still impolite way by this woman as she holds you by the wrist with a firm grip.
" See you later! Let's drink some wine and ge to know each other better, cutie! "
Moúro speaks, voice booming across the halls so loud enough for you to almost miss the quiet tone, yet just as eager, of Gála who waved lowly at your direction.
" With some cheese too.. wait, does she likes cheese? Oh no, could she be lactose intolerant? "
To stop her rambling, the clowny blur of pink wraps her arms around her neck after jumping onto her back, smiling widely.
" Shush! We're going to have a huuuuge party for her! Come on, come on! Towards the kitchen! "
She laughs almost hysterically as Gála seems to struggle under her weight, albeit she is considerably smaller than said albino. Moúro picks the chaotic woman and let's her sit on top os her shoulder, smiling with the same enthusiasm.
" To the kitchen! To the kitchen! "
Both of them head to the kitchen as they chant with joy. The calmer of the four looked to each other, giggling lowly before following them much more slowly until they're no longer able to hear what they're saying. She holds out her broom, letting it hover over the ground as she waits for you to sit behind her.
" You told id get answers, but I've been dragged around form a place to another. "
She sighed, as if already expecting your answer.
" Be assured, I hold no interest in delaying a lecture of high caliber, still, your attribute requires more visual explanation. "
She hums, the broom beginning to fly, heading to one of the twisting doors with precision. Before you could ask, she continued.
" For now, let us introduce you to the fundamental structures before turning to other conundrums. "
You nodded, and, out of the blue, you say your name to her. She nods, humming.
" Quick warning, dont give your name so easily to a witch, she might be able to curse you if you irritate her enough. "
" Wait, really? "
" Not quite. "
You deadpan at her, raising a judgemental eyebrow at her. She glanced over her shoulder to look at you.
" Im working on my jokes. Please bear with my journey of experimentation in the humor field. "
She mumbles, as if mentioning a flaw was something to be ashamed of.
" As long as you teach me all... whatever this is, i dont think I'll mind. "
She paused for a few milliseconds before humming, moving the broom through a circling tunnels in the same color as her dress.
" My sister and I have similar attributes, but dont be mistaken, we are different in our application. Her name is Álas, her twin is named Záchari, and im... "
She sighed, stopping the broom once you both arrived at wherever shes taking you.
" im Ikanós. Its a pleasure to be meeting you. Forgive the sudden introduction, it wasn't productive at all. "
" Its fine, im honestly kind of curios about... this. "
She nods, opening the door. You've taken notice of countless doors inside the building, too. As if this tower connects to all of the others through portals, you wonder how they work, if they need any kind of energy, just like this whole castle. Once you enter, you watch the grand classroom before you, bigger than any campus youve ever saw in your life. You aren't that good with numbers, but you're certain that a whole football field would fit in this room just fine. She goes for the teacher podium, her broom turning into a white wand with four thin silver vines crawling all the way up. She moves her right hand in a circular motion, the wand performing the magic spell with ease as the room reshapes itself under her command. You try to keep your excitement in, tough your expression screams your feelings as your hands hold your mouth to keep quiet so not to disturb Ikanós. The witch keeps herself from commenting on your behavior, the floor absorbing the chairs and tables until the whole room began to shrink in size, so much it could be compared to a comfortable office. She moved her left hand to maintain said circle in place as her right one began to draw another one, that albeit smaller, copied her podium and the plush chair behind it and created a round table in between the copy and original objects, making you shriek once an unseen force pulled you into the copied version of her seat. Once the glowing circles turned into smaller floating particles, you unconsciously clapped your hands.
" Thank you. Now, let us begin, shall we? "
" To start, why am I even here? Could you at least tell me what got me in this– "
She hummed, arms crossed, interrupting you.
" I dont see the reason to know how, however, we know why you should stay. Whatever brought you to our dimension clearly knew your importance to us, or simply desired you to be in our reality."
She tapped her right index against her chin, voicing out her reasoning.
" We didn't do it, but it is a relief to have you with us. "
You, on the other hand, aren't relieved in the slightest. These witches seemed to have a lot in their hands, and you aren't quite sure you take on responsibility of magical... stuff. What the jelly are they even doing again?!
" Um, excuse me, but what is the meaning of this coven at all?? You said you need me, but im not magical. My world has none of it, and im quite certain of that. "
She paused, eyes widening slightly as if surprised by such thing. Tough she ignores the latter question, deeming the conversation not fit for your current state of desperation.
" Although having magical prowess is quite difficult, the concept of not having mana at all is preposterous. Mana is in the air, the ground, and every single abstract concept that could breathe life or an object into the world. "
She moved her wand again, making a visualized and much cooler presentation than any class you've attended.
" Think of space as an empty ball. Instead filling it up with mana like water inside a cup, mana surrounds the space creating a veil. This veil is what permits us to create and reshape certain laws."
She continued the explanation of the empty ball, now adding a glass filled with water.
" Mana is merely the manifestation of the veil, not its source. To make a better example, let's use the vacuum of space. "
The water began to be poured into the ball, yet it kept expanding, so the water never could fulfill it properly.
" If mana was an inside force, it would never reach all corners of existence. Instead, it would be fixated in a single place and unable to be nutured for a long time from lack of use. "
Now, the figure of a human shows up. They ware at nothing, seemingly happy.
" Humans became capable of having aptitude for magic, the applying of the veil's laws, the moment we discovered such thing. Of course, physics and nature have their own language, but our magic is, with a heavily summarize, the capability of twisting those laws to our will through mana. "
You asked, almost immediately, what mana is.
" If its a manifestation, then what is it exactly? "
She hummed, erasing the forms she'd shown.
" A minuscule particle that breaks the rules of the universe, yet is recognized by reality enough since it reproduces the fundamental particles in its core to keep the anomaly structure stabilized. "
You got yourself a bit lost there, but, taking a shot, you mutter out.
" Then... if not physical, and it fuels these spells.. its just energy, no? "
Ikanós coughed almost immediately, pressing her lips together as if you just said the funniest thing in the world. After calming herself, she returns her stoic expression.
" Yes, quite the rudimentary way to put it together... though a far more efficient one. I shall take your words into consideration for further analysis. "
" And we learned this for what, exactly..? Don't get me wrong, its super interesting! But i kinda wanna go home. "
" Wasn't it obvious? We don't know how to send you home since the veil only covers our reality as far as we know. And since you dont have magic in your world, the veil does not exist there. Which ends up bringing us to ou current paradox. You shouldn't even be here to start, and.. I've no idea how that was possible, to be honest. "
You stop. Your focus wavering each passing second. You dont know how to feel at this moment.
" Im not... going home? Never? "
She looked to the side, clearly not wanting to see or comment on your distress. She leads you outside, pulling on your wrist again. After a moment of silence, she speaks again.
" You should focus on what you have. My sister and I will try to understand how you could be sent back home. Until then, "
She looks at you for an instant, then her wand transforms into a broom once more, looking forward and sitting on it.
" Do what you think its right. Unnecessary thinking will only bring you pain. "
Fortunately, at this moment, you agree with her. Once again, you sit right behind her, letting the soft breeze that came from the flight. Strangely enough, you feel like you could get accustomed with this. Thinking of it, you never got the name of that gem holder! Maybe you'll meet her properly later. And, you just realized that the women in those stained glasses are the same witches that live in this castle. Also, you feel like you're forgetting something.
" Oh shi– shoot! Ikanós, I think the cat on its own. "
" Your familiar? Don't worry, it hid under your shadow before we hopped on the broom. "
" But i dont even know that cat– "
" It chose you. Witches barely have one, newcomer. Treat it as a blessing, because it is. "
You sighed, knowing you have no chance of winning an argument against her.
" Where are we going now? A training ground for spells? A cave filled with magic crystals? Or one of those cliche fantasy wardrobes filled with potentially bad or designer level clothing? "
" Your bedroom. "
" Ah. "
You stopped talking. Sarcasm really isn't her thing. Welp, gotta have a different approach. This time, you both land on safe, lovable, unmoving ground.
" Just call out for help if you need directions, which you probably will, and her royal highness will enlighten your path towards where you wish to go. You'll come across other witches. They're odd individuals, but good people. "
You nodded. You liked her way of thinking. Prolonged when needed, and straight to the point when required. Not the funniest gummy bear, but a really nice person overall. She seems to try not to throw mma lot of information at you, and for that, you're really grateful.
" Im oftenly busy, so my sister will aid you with magic lessons if you wish to learn. Gála, too, is very knowledgeable. Though it might take some time for her to get accustomed with your presence. Fantasía can be... overwhelming, sometimes. She can go on and on if not stopped. But she's really thoughtful, just don't let her get away from the topic. "
She looks up to a window, as if counting the hours that have passed since the start of your interaction.
" I must go now... farewell, and I wish you a good night of rest. "
You bid her good night as well, kicking your shoes away as you entered the room that, albeit darker, held a striking resemblance to your world's room. And, as you sit on your bed, you begin to digest every single part of your day. You hold your cheeks with your hands, opening your eyes again when a ball of fur curled on your lap, baking your body relax slowly and you begin to pet it. After a short while, you held it in your arms to lay down onto the mattress, or what seemed like one, pulling a cover above your chest.
" A name... I think i'll call you.. Néos. "
The cats sclera, ealier a light blue, began turning to a light lavender tone as its pupils turned violet.
" Meow.. Rrhow. "
He clawed his way to lay right beside your neck, pawing at your chin a few times before curling into a ball, seemingly to be sleeping soundlessly. Out of growing familiarity for the feline that seems to understand you just fine, you try to sleep as well, taking Ikanós words to the heart. Unnecessary thinking only brings pain, with the adding of terrible decisions. You feel like all of this is just a big lie as you drift away from the tale of your first night of the unknown continent of the witches.
Chater 1 (you're here!!) // Chapter 2 >>
Hey so, im making this new series called " Starry Eyes Of Your God. " Gonna upload when I can, though im really getting into what im creating here. Yes, this is an OG au of my own, and I hope you guys catch the lore hints I put here and there! Don't be ghosts, I love reading comments and theories are my favorites! Forgive me if there's any character that seems out of their, well, character. Im not all that knowledgeable in cookie run witches castle current lore, and this is an au of mine so I ask you to bear with me though i am trying to learn more about the witches to write this. If any corrections are needed, I will do them. Please notify me if you spotted something like a misspelling mistake. Though some stuff i already have planned, is always nice to change form time to time and im not an iceberg lmao. This is also shorter than what I go for (around 6.2k words or so, usually go for 10k) bc im trying to figure out the character dynamics in-between the witches. Yes, this is a slow paced fic, so, again, please be patient.
From a passionate delulu to another,
Dominic.
