I didn't dress up for Halloween last year. It was the first time in my life I hadn't.... I had just gotten out of a bad relationship, but my Halloween plans prior to that had been to take their kids trick-or-treating and we were all going to be PJ mask characters.
When we broke up they told their kids that I moved back to South Dakota and blocked me on every media platform.
Losing that hurt. But they were abusive and I am much happier now.
Happy enough to celebrate my favorite holiday again
