Living in a quiet, but boring mountain town has it’s perks. Rainy skies and dry ground to name a couple, but it also has its downsides. Things seem to go missing, very frequently. Almost every person here has had something stolen. It’s a little bit of a problem, but not the problem it should be. The things that go missing aren’t really expected, but it leaves you with an empty feeling as if you were reaching out to touch someone you didn’t quite know was there. Mushrooms and moss out of backyards, are the most common thefts. Shiny yard ornaments too. Some say it’s a creature, a being, some even say that if you look closely, unfocus your eyes you can see Her standing in the rain. long blonde hair, dripping. blue/green eyes, like the moss she took, looking to trust. Some have even set up traps to scare Her. An unexpected loud noise and your yard will remain untouched. The most common place to spot Her is in the outer lakes this mountain town is surrounded by. So, if you’re feeling risky, let’s go for a swim.

Ambient Tragedy

Misery loves company. Tragedy loves mystery. This cryptid loves background noise. There is never silence. True silence will never exist as long as this cryptid is alive. Writing itself into your reality. Writing himself into cold, busy cities imbibing them with the small town feel. He sees the world blurred. He has a definitive weakness though, something most other cryptids don’t have. Insects. The insects don’t like him either, which is a plus, so if you live in a busy city and don’t have an insect problem, you may have another kind of problem. An Ambient tragedy.

We Will Turn You Into A Cryptid

Ever wanted two sisters to use various magics and dumb jokes to turn you into a cryptid?? Well, your wish has been granted. We’re starting a podcast and we need some future cryptids for the first few episodes.

If you want to be turned into a cryptid on the podcast please email [email protected] with the following:

- your name (or nickname)

- a brief description of your appearance

- what it’s like where you live

- AND MOST IMPORTANTLY weird quirks, ESPECIALLY any wacky, dumb, inhuman, embarrassing story/thing you have done or continue to do

Emerald Imposer

“Contrary to popular belief, he’s not that tall.” A witness shares.

“I think he’s just got long legs.” Another will chime in. The conversation goes on and on. Along with various scents one might attribute to the forest, an air of mystery and conversation surrounds this cryptid. Known to hold menacing eye contact with the unsuspecting people he encounters, this green-haired cryptid tends to collect insects. He lurks at the base of each hill in Austria, seemingly in all places all at once.

It’s Happening!

The very first episode of the podcast “Becoming Cryptids” will be up tomorrow (June 14th, 2019) at 3pm central!! It’s a tight 30 minutes and we had so much fun recording it!! Shaggy Sketcher

One morning, while out for a morning walk with her dog, a young woman describes a creature approaching her; brown shaggy hair covering a body about 5 10. She is adamant that it wasn’t Bigfoot as the creature pet her dog and drew a picture of what looked like an octopus in the ground. Stories such as these are surfacing all across small towns in Texas. They’re dubbing the creature the Shaggy Sketcher. Some believe that the creature is a member of the Bigfoot family, others will argue that he is too short and tends to pick at his face, and bite his hand when unnerved. Bigfoot doesn’t do that. At least they don’t think so. The creature isn’t something small town Texas is afraid of, but if you’re out walking your dog, be prepared to be approached.

The Keyper

If you’ve ever been out late at night, paranoid, telling yourself that the jingling of keys you hear is all in your mind, you may have experienced this cryptid. So called “nests” have been found with small corked glass jars and especially scenic postcards from neighboring towns. The few witnesses to see this cryptid up close claim that the noise is from brass keys the cryptid keeps on their person at all times. This creature isn’t known to be violent, but there isn’t much known about this “Keyper” as of now. Be careful if you wish to find more out, you may get more than you bargained for.
