Minoan Two Bees Pendant Replica

Couldn't resist this fantastic replica of the Pendant discovered in Chrysolakkos in Malia in Crete depicting two bees touching each other to their mouths and to their stingers. Between their feet seems to be a round piece that represents most likely a honey comb and the circle between their mouths could be the representation of honey. The bead to the little cage above their heads was moving in the original not in my replica:

The pendant dates back around 1800 BC and it masterfully combined four different techniques to its making; filigree, granulation, repoussè and incised decorations. Not only does it have incredible aesthetic result but also the bee has a great significance to the Cretan culture since honey and wax seem to be great source of wealth. Theories also suggest it is a symbol of wealth but also rebirth
