The concept of taking one’s own path has been continuously popping up in my mind, as well as in other stuff I have seen lately. What Jamie Varon has written above is spot on. Every so often, we need to take a step back and remember what we are doing and why. It’s so easy nowadays to mindlessly sit back and set short term goals based on pleasure, not knowing that we are allowing ourselves to stay on that hamster wheel much longer than we need to. It’s okay. Because if we are struggling, sometimes we elect to do what’s easy because it will help us by.
Falling in with the crowd is easy. But unless you’ve set out on a deliberate path to complete a specific task with another individual or with a group, you’ll need to forge your own path. It may feel wrong because on that path, you won’t have anyone else to relate to. Things will feel distant. But in this, you cannot lose yourself. Each day is an opportunity to continue creating yourself. To continue growing.

Change is at hand, friends! Go for it and don’t let your ideas about who you are (or were) and what you think you’re capable of stop you. Trust yourself and go do the thing! Let yourself change — I mean, you’re changing anyway so just be aware of it and allow it to be. Don’t fight it. This is a good thing and might even be a great thing!
