Belle: I finally got a snapchat Belle: Be proud ;)
mannequins and locks.

So maybe she shouldn’t have tried that free meal -- it’s true what they say: nothing comes without a price. A groan left her lips as she clutched at her stomach, a sigh of relief finally escaping as she drained herself of her free dinner. She blamed it on the fish. It was always the fish.
The sound of a flushing toilet, bang of the stall, and the rush of warm water on her soap-laden hands proceeded the sudden black out. Or so, that’s what Belle thought it was. A black out. Except a glance at her watch and the eerie silence in the pitch-black mall spoke otherwise. A blackout meant crowds of frightened people -- not the feeling of a ghost town. Abandoned with not a soul in sight.
wait a minute. did the fucking mall close?! Belle thought to herself, eyes widening as she quickened her pace in an attempt to find a guard or an exit. Well, that is until she caught movement in the corner of her eye. Belle halted to a stop, head whipping in the direction of the detected movement, freezing as she saw a dark shadow moving in the far-off distance.
It must be hallucinations from fatigue and a now-empty stomach -- but are the fucking mannequins coming alive?! From the distance all she could detect was something dark, tall, lanky and most importantly it was coming closer. It was a little ridiculous that she could feel her heart-pace quickening, eyes widening considering the amount of time she spent and worked for Arcanum. But even Assassins had off-days and feared the unexplainable at times. Though, if the mannequins moved any closer, they’d probably wished they’d hadn’t as her body automatically moved into defense position, entire body on hire-alert.
Today was the day and belle wasn’t sure if she should be anxious or excited. She’d mentally prepared herself the night before, but well, honestly, she hadn’t slept it wink. She couldn’t help laying in bed going over all the different scenarios and the ways this could pan out a disaster. But then at least it was Erik that was posing as her supposed boyfriend. That fact calmed her but also made her even more nervous. Maybe there was more to how she felt about the other than she cared to admit, and well, belle was frightfully afraid that their friendship would just not be the same after tonight.
Regardless, she tried to put all those thoughts aside as she got ready. Slipping out of her house in the early mornings only to pop into his -- his delightful mother greeting her and inviting her in for breakfast. Happily, belle accepted, preferring the company of his family much more so than her dysfunctional one. Sipping orange juice from a glass, teeth biting down on the plastic straw as Erik came into view, she managed to chime out a cheery. “good morning soldier! ya ready to go to war?” The metaphor quite accurate, given he’d be meeting the didonatos soon. It all their glory and chaos.

It was the perfect weather to be outside -- and so that’s what belle did. She’d even woken up early on the weekend in hopes of catching some sliver of inspiration for some sketches. That’s how she found herself hidden beneath the shade in a rather reclusive spot of the park sketching the patch of wildflowers and view a few feet from her. That is until a shadow arrived.
“I don’t mean to be rude, but you’re blocking the light.”
Belle wrapped her cardigan tighter around her shoulders as the cigarette dangled from between her fingers, muscles loosening as if the smoke were physically untangling each and every knotted muscle she felt in mere seconds. She’d had a nightmare again, and she knew that sleep would not be something within her reach any time soon.
Leaning against her caravan, her eyes closed momentarily as another puff of smoke escaped, surprise filling her emerald hues as she heard a loud clang. She did not think anyone was still awake, or nearby.
Belle: didn't I block you....
The witches ruins was often a place Belle could be found sketching beneath the shades of an old tree. It guaranteed privacy and silence -- and there was something about the at times eerie atmosphere that contributed to certain sketches. “Y’know, it’s not nice to stare.” Belle said, breaking the silence that’d hung in the air. She’d felt the others presence for a while now.
