feeling for everyone living on the west coast. the idea that ~$1900 CAD is sub-market value for a 1 bedroom + den over there is just ludicrous.
#bf is moving there and is very lucky to get housing thru the uni he's working at#the lowest cost for a teeny weeny ~490 sq ft ish 1 bedroom is like. $1700#BELOW MARKET VALUE#fuck that#and apparently in that area you have to pay a special tax on the benefit of having housing below market value#therefore kind of. forcing you to pay closer to market value....#perhaps Im slightly out of touch because I dont rent thank god#its just out of this world to me#like water is wet but yknow
