Pokedex entry No. _ _ _ Girafarig Tlautlanian regional variant

Once pokémon was introduced to the region, it's second head gained power from the energy within it's surroundings. It will actively seek out threats to attack with it's sharp teeth.

The dark twin protects the body from physical harm, allowing the other twin to sharpen it's psychic abilities. Despite it's appereance, the second head is as docile as the first head.

Despite normal Girafarig's shiny being the same but with all the pink, and it's hooves, colored blue, Tla-Girafarig's shiny color palette is based on the colors of the beta girafarig sprite

on that note, yep, Tla-Girafarig is directly inspired, to not say staright up just; the proto girafarig!

Tla-Girafarig takes concepts from Farigiraf as well, specifically... that the second head is not an "evil twin" but rather wants to help/protect the other twin, thanks to it's newfound agency, the dark twin will defend the body and the psychic twin from any possible threat, but it's otherwise as kind and docile as the psychic twin, just a silly horse... still, don't put your hand too close to it's teeth, they're chompy!

I wish this beta leaked Girafarig was a thing and have a gimmick similar to Mimikyu and Eiscue.

Like the disguise and ice face abilities where if you first hit this Beta Girafarig it hop swaps places like the yellow side gets hit then the dark type version is in front the hits twice as hard.

Have the first hit causes the ability to happen and not hurt the Pokémon like the attack swapped the creature around and have the Pokémon swap back when the HP is low to the starting pose animation before getting hit.

But make the Girafarig swap between the dark half and yellow half randomized when the Pokémon is released out.

I would call this ability Swapsies.

the fabled Dr. Polygira, mentioned rarely on the TSSB askblog! although it’s more accurately styled Doctors Polygira, but they are more than aware that their shared body makes them both a single individual and two people at once. a rare double-headed girafarig, Pumpkin (light head, male) and Peaches (dark head, female) specialize in studying pokemon with twin heads like themselves. they operate in Chloria City, and are long-time friends with Dr. Steele.

this is another character who doesn’t appear in the actual comic, but this time for realsies i promise
