So in the mother land of my culture 🇲🇽 I did a thing. Grateful isn’t enough to express the appreciation I feel when my feet, soul, mind and body receive a chance to share a stage with such greatness. In this moment I wanted to express so much more, on such a deeper level that I felt the song just wasn’t long enough for me to share. For those younger than me and still trying to find ways to improve. When ever you are given a chance to express. Remember this: you will have to look back at it 10/20/30 years from now. Study yourself and make these moments more than just about your dance. Tell your story of struggle, love, heart ache, guilt, happiness, comfort, pride, etc. Don’t be defined by how cool you are. I had to share this🙏🏽. For those that know me, who truly know the sacrifices, heart ache, pain, blood, sweat and tears. This was an amazing moment for me. This kid met me when he was 2 years old😱! Watched me dance again when he was 5 and has since then been waiting to watch me again by saving up money to see me at another WOD. I end up out of all places performing at his Jr High School in the OC. His tears just made me want to show those who struggle with drive to trust the process. If your heart is in the right place you never know who’s life you will touch. Keep true to your craft and make the necessary changes to prosper with doing something you love. He could not stop crying and shaking and with everything that is going on in my life this love right here was needed😢. Truly from my heart, I am grateful I was able to live in this moment and make him my friend🤗. #betheheroyouneeded (at Walker Junior High School)
