Why the fuck doesn't this fandom talk about Beverly literally rocking her shitty abusive husband's shit when he didn't want to let her go? Like y'all that was fucking awesome and no one talks about it, she beat him with a belt and threw a dresser on him like a savage
Something I love so much about the IT novel is that after a while you really don’t need to be told who said something because you instantly just know. And not just like with Bill’s stutter, I mean the way Eddie talks or how Ben talks is so distinct you can just tell. Open a random page and read the first quotation mark you see and you can probably already know who it is.
beverly: you didn’t happen to bring any coffee, did you?
bill: *passes her a thermos* milk and sugar
beverly: you’re a lifesaver.
beverly: *takes a sip*
beverly:
beverly: ..is this JUST milk and sugar?
bill: that’s what i just said
after all is set and done with Pennywise, the losers, including Stan and Eddie, go home and live their lives with the ones they love. Ben and Bev have a joint wedding with Richie and Eddie. Stan and Mike finally end up together and go to Florida. Bill finally finishes a book with a happy ending that everyone loves, and he gains a new found look on life free from his survivors guilt. Richie wins an Emmy for his new comedy special: Be Gay, Do Crime to which he wrote his own material and that is the reason why his career is finally skyrocketing at least this is what Eddie claims.
Loser Club Hogwarts Houses
Preface that these are my opinion, you can totally disagree but please don't bash me for my selections. Feel free to comment your opinion, I like hearing different views on this particular topic ^^
Eddie Kaspbrak- GRYFFINDOR
I think Eddie would be surprised to hear the hat call out the house of bravery, but it doesn't make it any less true. The Sorting Hat can see past all the weaknesses Eddie's mother has convinced him he has and knows how, when it truly comes to it, Eddie is brave and would stand up for his friends. Besides, as Richie said, "You're braver than you think."
Richie Tozier- SLYTHERIN
Though I think Richie would be a Slytherin, I dont think it's the Hat's first choice for him 👀 In the book, Richie is actually really smart, but people pay more attention to his troublesome behavior rather than his intelligence. I think first instinct would really be Ravenclaw, but Richie is echoing in his head 'not Ravenclaw not Ravenclaw not Ravenclaw please I'll go crazy with all that nerdy shit-' so the Hat obliges
Stanley Uris- RAVENCLAW
Stanley has always been thought of as the wise, most mature one of the group. Its pointed out how he was well beyond his years. I don't think the Sorting Hat would have to barely touch his head before deeming him a Ravenclaw ^^
Mike Hanlon- HUFFLEPUFF
Mike's loyalty is one of his strongest assets. Obviously he is the one to stay in Derry even after everyone else had left and forgotten him. He sticks through it and values his friendship with the Loser's above it all.
Bill Denbrough- GRYFFINDOR
Naturally the leader of the Losers, Bill takes charge and has a certain protectiveness over each of his friends. Even when things don't look in their favor he'd be the one to look past the fear and try to think more towards victory. He keeps everyone together.
Beverly Marsh- SLYTHERIN
Bev can certainly be cunning and ambitious. Once her memories get triggered she has no problem leaving her husband and going to who and what she really wants. She's a badass in her own right when it comes to it. She and Richie would totally sport their green sweaters together
Ben Hanscom- HUFFLEPUFF
He yearned twenty seven years for a girl he hardly remembered. His loyalty to Beverly is a big part of him, even when she thought she loved Bill (whether it was confusion due to memory loss or when she simply liked Bill as a kid) he was ever so patient. It hurt, yeah, but he stayed with her anyway and finally they got to be happy together
The Toziers loved their son. Stop writing them off as neglectful parents who don’t love Richie.
Why don’t we all start focusing on the actually abusive parents in Derry.
Alvin Marsh was absolutely disgusting and creepy. He would molest his daughter. That man deserves to rot.
Sonia Kasprak had Muchchausen by Proxy. She was sick. Sonia made Eddie believe he was ill, so she would be in control of him.
Oscar Bowers, Henry father, is also another abusive parent in Derry. Henry is terrified of his father. We see two examples of this, when Henry loses his knife, and when Henry is messing around with his gun.
But the Toziers weren’t abusive. Please stop writing them as neglectful parents so Richie can be uwu.
