Current status: Deceased; died fulfilling her oath, prompting Gale to detonate himself when all of the Dead Three's proxies and the elder brain were in front of them (of course, she didn't know she was unleashing a mind flayer plague on all of the Sword Coast)

Background: Celia was born into a wealthy banking family and married the son of her father's business partner. The couple had two children and were popular among the elite of Waterdeep. Like many Waterdhavian nobles, she had an eccentric hobby: collecting broken cursed objects and reassembling them. These items were often finely crafted and were harmless because their powers had been destroyed when they were damaged. One of the dealers who regularly sold her treasures was given a very beautiful, but badly damaged music box by an old woman. This sweet old lady had explained that the music box had ruined her family and she had finally destroyed it. Because she needed the money to move away and start over on her own, she wanted to sell it. Celia paid a large sum for the box. She couldn't wait to put it together. For weeks, she worked and worked, and when she was about to put the final piece in she did what she always did: called her husband and children in to watch. The piece went in. She turned the crank and a tune started to play. Before she knew what was happening, her husband's eyes went white. He withdrew the ceremonial axe he carried to suit the fashion of the day, ran their children through and turned the blade on himself. At first, Celia couldn't process what happened. She could only grieve. But after a few months, she wanted to piece together what went wrong. That led her to investigate the old woman, who turned out to be a hag. It had all been a trick. Once Celia hunted her down, the old woman offered to bring back her family, but Celia didn't blink. She uttered a prayer to Clangeddin Silverbeard, produced her husband's axe and killed the hag then and there. But she wasn't finished. She hunted down all the underlings who assisted the hag in her evil doings. She found the hag's sisters and killed them, too. And by that time, she had leads on more hags. Celia had become a paladin of conquest, oathsworn to Clangeddin Silverbeard, determined to decimate all hags and their networks (and to give stern talking-tos to the desperate fools who turned to them). Having heard that there were signs of hag activity near Baldur's Gate, Celia had recently arrived in the city. After returning from a night of gathering intelligence in the Lower City, she returned to Nortale's Hostel and gone to bed, only to awake on the nautiloid. Major in-game choices:

Stepped in front of the tiefling's crossbow

Did not let Astarion feed on her

Befriended Scratch but was forced to fight the owlbear because of bad rolls

Destroyed the Necromancy of Thay book'

Saved Rugan and Olly but then killed the Zhents in the hideouts upon realizing who she had unknowingly aided

Killed Auntie Ethel in Act I

Used the adamantine forge

Encouraged Wyll to break his pact

Allowed Shadowheart to complete the trials but firmly encouraed her not to kill Aylin

Always pursue the strongest/most deadly baddie in a fight and take them on personally

No necromancy for her or anyone in the party

To Bear With Love Under A Full Moon

“Oak Father, preserve me. I’ve fallen for an old friend, so loving and dear to my heart. We share an ursine pact under the moon, with many decades passionately spent upon your natural gaze. Her cooling touch is calloused yet gentle, her silver eyes reflect a lifetime of maternal kindness.

“I’ve held back my desire for duty. We parted ways before I suffered in darkness and shadow, but the journey in our reunion brought more than her beauty. I kneel before her, and she holds my scarred face and whispers to me:

‘Let me be your light again. Just like the old times, hm?’

“Oak Father, I love her. I’m grateful for time to extend our lives another century more, but I may blink and lose her again… So allow me to make every second count, for I am hers.”

Another day, another render, another Tav debut! I’ll eventually do proper introductions with my Tavs, but until then, meet my lovely dwarf Tav Gekkea!

She’s an arctic dwarf and a multiclassed Druid (Circle of the Moon)/Barbarian (Bear Wildheart)! She also originated from the game mechanic where only CoM Druids can wildshape into a Polar Bear— so you can see how that concept turned out!

I’ve only designed Gekkea in the game, but never played her fully. So I hope to do a run with her in the future! The romance between is beary adorable in my heart! 🐻💕🐻‍❄️
