If you’re concerned that the Biden administration is going to be “a third Obama term,” then the most important thing you can do is support Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock in Georgia. The number one obstacle to progressive policies right now is the Republican-controlled Senate - the exact same obstacle that stood in the way of many of Obama’s policy proposals. We have a chance to eliminate that obstacle by winning the Georgia runoffs. We have to give it all we’ve got.

Anon Submits: Biden Administration gives paid leave to foster parents of illegal kids
Anon, do you have an opinion or question about this? In my opinion, that’s really generous, but who will do their jobs? These people will also receive money for room and board care of you the taxpayer. Someone has to take care of those children, I don’t care how it gets done. I’ve said I would take a couple but I live in a 55 an older community. I’m asking all of you if you can and have the…

I will never understand why people still believe in the power of the individual over the power of people.
Like for example, yesterday the Biden administration fucked up.
They said they would keep the cap on refugees entering the US the same as it was during the Trump administration - as in, the extremely low and inhumane number set by Stephen Miller. Fucked up. Big time.
Understandably, there was swift backlash. And by the end of the day they had reversed the decision.
By the end of the day!
I’m sure this will fuel the galaxy-brained people who want to believe Biden and Trump are the same. But I actually think it proves the opposite. The Trump administration frequently received backlash (please see: the biggest protest in American history), had the lowest approval rating in modern history, and continued to push evil and inhumane policies despite their unpopularity... because they don’t believe in democracy anyway. While it’s obviously not great that the Biden administration’s instinct wasn’t to do the right thing in the first place (and I need to do more research into whose decision it was and why; I read something about how they were concerned about optics... over human lives,,, while others said it was just a ‘confusing’ message that was misinterpreted... but anyway), they quickly reacted to the criticism they received and immediately changed course. That’s the difference. These decisions are making a difference in real people’s real lives. And it was the thousands of people who were paying attention and reacted to this news who made that difference.
Anyway, TLDR; we can create change when we work together to make it happen when there are people in charge who are willing to listen. This is a small example of it happening in real time. So next time you’re looking for the perfect candidate, remember there is no perfect candidate - only people willing to listen vs. those who are not.
