How do we all feel about the new Alejandro Escovedo record? I'm curious. A lot of the record ("Sally Was A Cop," "San Antonion Rain" are exceptions) feels really desperate to me, like it's trying way too hard to be a "fun rock and roll record," but that desperation is also sort of moving.
