Already changing stuff
Just working on the second chapter and I have started introducing changes, but I think it's for the better, it will just take a bit longer, but hopefully it makes it easier to use later.
Like this it will look a bit more "textbooky" and also I like the idea of using colours for different characters speaking. Saitama is yellow 💛
Chapter 1
Purpose and disclaimer
This is a personal small project made possible by the kind folks that translate and post the One Punch Man webcomic, and obviously by the author posting it for free.
I wanted to put something out myself as thanks, although no one else might find it useful.
For many, many years, I have been trying to learn Japanese, but because I always tried to make it perfect, I ended up getting stuck and instead half butting it, so I have never got anywhere with it.
But learning about ONE's journey publishing One Punch Man I realised that I did not have to do everything perfectly from the beginning and that I should try to find joy in what I am doing, that's success already.
I am hoping that pulling the vocab and some grammar out of a work that I love will keep me motivated, and I am posting it online so anyone else may benefit too.
Please see below the source of the screenshots, none of this work belongs to me.
Also kindly note that I am a learner, not an expert.
The method, for now, is simply extracting the texts, running them through a furigana maker, and breaking it down by words. I will not be adding the meanings and other readings of single kanji for now, it might evolve but also I might just keep it easy.
You need to have some level of reading, hiragana and katakana, as this is only to learn more kanji and get exposed to grammar (even if it's manga grammar, I know I know).
Anyways, hope this helps somebody!

Introducing the new MotherWifeMe bilingual section... Ma Puce
“So MotherWifeMe, what have you been up to today?” I hear you ponder. No, really, I am sure I heard you pondering exactly that. Well, I will tell you…
I’ve been hunched over a hot keyboard creating the Ma Puce * section of the MotherWifeMe blog. “What on earth is that?” I hear you ponder further, feeling far from enlightened. Well, Ma Puce is a section I am creating as a way to keep me motivated on my mission to teach the Tinkerous Toddler French. And before you ask, no, I am not a native French speaker or even a fluent French speaker. I am a typical Brit, who didn’t get a whiff of learning a second language until she arrived, fully Englished-up, at secondary school. By which time learning a second language, no matter how much I wanted to, was something of a chore.

*Ma puce - quite literally it means "my flea", but the best translation of this phrase is "sweetie". It is a term of endearment that French parents / speakers use for their children.
