Marinette had known since she was born that she was the only daughter of Bruce Wayne and Talia Al Ghul. She was also Damian's little sister, by three years.
When the strike on Ra's Al Ghul was taken, Talia quickly hid her away. Marinette knew her family's lives were on the line. She knew Damian would be on the front lines and prayed for his safe return. Although she knew she wasn't her grandfather's favorite, she still mourned his death. Damian seemed to take it especially hard.
Talia had told Marinette and Damian that they would be seperated for the time being. She needed Damian to go with his father to continue his training, while she picked up the pieces of the League.
"What about me, Mother?" Mari questioned.
"You will be on a mission, all of your own." Talia explained, "You're mission is to go undercover. You will act as a daughter of other people. This will keep you safe. Not many know of your existence, but I need to make sure all that wish to harm us, are gone."
"I do not approve of this." Damian snarled.
"I understand." Talia whispered, "I have folders for each of you with detailed instructions. Until you are in your new lodgings, you are not to open them."
Marinette nodded sadly and cried herself to sleep in her big brother's arms. She knew it would be a while before she saw him again. Talia gave them their moment. It hurt her dearly to tear her children apart, but Slade had to pay for his crimes. The League had to be rebuilt and become stronger than ever to give them both their inheritance. With Ra's gone, she would train Marinette to become as deadly as her, when she came of age.
Marinette smiled at the envelope in her hand.
'Another letter from mother. I wonder what my orders are this time.'
Marinette,
The time has come for your father to pick you up. He and Damian will pick you up in three days time. Prepare for his arrival.
Marinette smiled, happily. Lila had been a pain in the ass, as of late. Sabine and Tom took everything her so-called friends said at face value. They would laugh at the implications over dinner. Marinette would tell them all of the lies and how brainless the class truly was. They both knew that if Marinette was really bullying Lila, she could have done far worse. Tom and Sabine had disagreed with Adrien's decleration, but told Mairnette to keep the piece while they reached out to Talia. Only her mother's orders were absolute. If her mother said she could kill her, they wouldn't stand in her way.
"Maman. Papa." Marinette called out.
"So, what did the letter say this time?" Sabine asked.
"Father and Brother will be here in three days time to retrieve me." she answered.
"Well, let's start pulling you out of that horrible school and get ou all packed up." Tom laughed, "I'm sure they will be happy to see you."
'Damian, perhaps. Father; I don't know if he even knows of my existence. Surprise, Father.'
Bruce sighed, "What do you mean you have a sister?"
"It's just as I stated." Damian declared, "Mother has insisted it is safe to retrieve her."
"You've been talking to Talia?" Dick questioned.
"No." the young Wayne heir answered, "She gave us both instructions before we left."
Damian held up the letter.
"There are certain dates for me to open these letters." he explained, "Most of them coincide with our birthdays. Today is Marinette's; she turns fifteen."
"So where is she?" Jason asked.
"Paris, France." Damian stated, "She has been under watchful eyes and was assigned to live as a normal child. No assassin work. Grandfather wasn't too happy that he didn't have two grandsons. Mother taught her self-defense, but she helped out around, mostly as a servant. I was to ignore her if I saw her unless we were alone."
Bruce rubbed his head.
"I have already prepared another room, Sir." Alfred smiled.
"Please, don't let there be two of him." Tim pleaded as Bruce stood up and walked out of the cave to pack.
Marinette handed over her ledger of Lila Rossi to Bruce.
"The school needs to choose their staff more carefully." she spoke, "Tom and Sabine have tried stepping in with the Principal, but I bellieve the Board needs to know what is going on under their noses.
Bruce looked at it and quickly read through it.
"I agree." he snarled, "I'll be taking it with me to the board. I need to legally sign you out of that school, anyways."
Marinette turned to her brother and hugged him.
"I missed you." she whispered.
Damian said nothing, but held her close.
Tom and Sabine stood by as they watch the girl they help raise, reunite with her family. Marinette let go and realized they were holding something.
"We have a copy of all of the recipes we've made over the years." Sabine declared, "Both in the bakery and just for the house."
"Family eyes only." Tom smiled.
"Thank you." Marinette replied, taking it and holding it close to her chest.
"I will make sure it is handed over to our grandfather and he will keep it locked up and safe." Damian declared.
Tom and Sabine smiled.
"I need to take my stuff back to the school." Mari spoke up.
"Go." Damian replied, "Father should return soon. I will tell him where you are and we will meet you there. I will put your belongings in the car so we can leave immediately."
Marinette walked into class and handed her class books over to Ms. Bustier.
"Marinette, why-" Caline began to question.
"I resign as class president." Mari announced.
"What?" Caline whispered in shock.
"Marinette?" Adrien called out, "Are you okay?"
"Is this why you haven't been in school?" Alya asked.
Caline laughed awkwardly, "Marinette, I'm sure-"
"I will be leaving this school, as of today." she announced, leaving the class stunned.
"Oh, Marinette!" Lila called out, standing up, "Did I do something? I only wanted to be friends!"
"Yeah!" shouted Kim, "What the hell?"
"I'll be moving in with my birth father and older brother." Marinette stated, "Mother says it is time for me to go with them."
"Sabine kicked you out?" Adrien questioned, confused.
"Sabine and Tom are my guardians, not my parents." Mari declared, "My birth father listened to me. I have always had a keen eye for detail, as many of you know from asking me to design for them."
"Are you till going on about 'Lila stealing from you'?" Alya asked, "We know it was you who stole!"
Lila paled and sat back down in her seat.
'What?'
Marinette looked at Lila and smiled, "Why do you think Ms. Bustier doesn't want me to stop being class president? It's because I make detailed plans for all the school trips, fundraisers, plan the fire drills, and escape routes. I even know where everything in this school is, including the security cameras. I have kept a record of every lie you said sice you got here, where and when. My father turned the evidence over to the Board of Governers."
Lila's jaw dropped.
"If the cameras aren't working, then they'll just go after that gullible man. Pretty sure embezzlement won't keep him in position." Mari shrugged.
"Huh?" asked Nino.
"How many times do you think the mayor pays him to look the other way when Chloe's being a bitch?" Marinette declared.
"Excuse me!" Chloe shouted.
"Maybe Lila can lend you her hearing aids." Marinette retorted.
"This is why you're a bully." Alix glared at her.
Marinette simply smiled.
Bruce and Damian walked in. Chloe smoothed her clothes and fluffed her hair, quickly. She stood up and smiled.
"I'm-" She spoke.
"Your voice is like nails on a chalk board." Damian commanded, "Be silent."
Chloe closed her mouth and sat down in embarassment, leaving everyone speechless.
Marinette giggled, "You always did know how to make an entrance, Big Brother."
Chloe's jaw dropped.
'She's a Wayne!'
Marinette turned and smiled at Chloe, "Goodbye, Daddy's Little Princess." before turning back to her family, "Father, I am ready to return home."
"Very well." Bruce spoke.
All three of them left the class without another word. There was a lot they had to discuss. As far as Bruce knew, Marinette had no idea about him being Batman and Damian being Robin. She had grown up with some semblance of a normal life and he wanted to keep it that way.
The class looked at the door confused.
"Chloe?" whispered Sabrina.
"Shit!" Chloe screamed, slamming her fists onto the desk.
"Chloe, are you okay?" asked Kim.
"No!" she yelled back, "Do I look okay? So you know-You don't know who they are? Of course you Pea Brains, don't! That was Bruce and Damian Wayne. Which makes.....Baker Girl is one of the richest people in the world."
Lila sat in her seat, enraged.
'What?'
"What?" questioned Alya.
"They have more money than mine and Adrikins' family combined." she scoffed, "Her father could buy Daddy's hotel like it was nothing!"
"But-" whispered Mylene.
"Marinette is a Wayne." Chloe stated, "The Waynes own an international business and have their hands in everything. They are old money. Bruce Wayne practically owns a whole city and just doesn't wanna be mayor."
"What about her brother?" asked Alix.
"He's known for being violent and lashing out. He hates the press." she remarked, "One thing about him on social media and he hunts you down and sues you."
"That's illegal." Alya claimed.
"Sorry. Would you prefer to be thrown in jail or settle for a million dollars to delete what you have?" the heiress questioned, "The Wayne family is known for the high IQ and attention to detail, which means....we're all screwed."
The class learned that everything Marinette had said was true. Lila's lies were all exposed. She was expelled and taken to a juvenile detention center, ontop of being sued by various people. Principal Damocles had been fired, as he had zero authority to expell anyone. Their teacher, Caline Bustier, was fired for not doing her job. She never informed the nurse about Lila's illnesses or disabilities, so there was never any confirmation that any of those were true. She also never sent Lila any homework during her 'travels' and so she was far behind the class in her studies.
Chloe believed she was suffering the most. Adrien was no longer in school with her. The people that let her do what she wanted was removed from the school and she was being forced to sell clothes out of her closet because her mother was upset by how much she 'embarassed them' in front of the Waynes.
'Stupid Marinette! This is all her fault! If she had just acted rich, like me, everything would be the same as it always was.'
The class was in disarray. Not only had Ms. Bustier let Lila slide on so many things, she was behind on their lessons as well. They now had mandatory after school tutoring and study sessions. Adrien Agreste had been pulled out of the class due to his high marks. He was also at the level they all should have been at.
"Dude, how did you pass?" Nino asked, "We all listened to Miss Bustier! You're higher than anyone, including Max!"
"Well, I was homeschooled and Natalie was a tough teacher compared to Miss Bustier. Also, I wanted to be at the same grade level as Chloe. I sorta knew mostly everything, already." Adrien admitted, "I actually could have skipped a few grades if I wanted to."
Nino was surprised, "Would you be willing to tutor us?"
"I wish I could but the board made me take a test and Father demanded I answer every question I knew correctly." Adrien sighed, "I'll be going to high school and if I continue the way I am now, I'm set to graduate in two years."
They realized it would never be the same. Everyone else still had four or five years until they graduated.
Bruce thought that another child would tip the balance of the manor, but he was wrong. It felt like all they had been missing, was her. She adjusted perfectly to the chaos. His sons insisted that Marinette learn self-defense, at the very least. She refused to walk in their footsteps and become Robin or any other sort of vigilante. It hadn't taken long for Marinette to be announced as Bruce Wayne's daughter and Damian's long lost biological sister. Marinette had taken Gotham by storm as Gotham's Angel and was designing under a new alias: Serpentine. She was taking the fashion world by storm.
Everyone loved having Marinette around, but Damian Al-Ghul Wayne knew better. Marinette was as deceiving as their mother. She looked innocent in everything she did, but her mind was a war zone. Their grandfather never appreciated her mind, but he had gotten some of his best stealth mission ideas after talking with her. He could see her slithering into every crack in their new home. She was flexible like Grayson, loved motorcycles like Todd, talked business with Father and Drake. She even won over Alfred, Brown and Cain with her cooking and baking skills.
Damian watched as Marinette smiled at her computer. The look at the screen, the smile; it was his mother's smile. He could see Gabriel stocks were plummeting after their reunion in Paris. Style Queen was barely hovering above water. For Marinette, it was never about becoming Robin. It was about ruling the world and she was going do it through fashion.
Damian would never tell anyone, but he was scared of his little sister and he would take it to his grave. The smile that would lead anyone to death: The Arabian Helen of Troy.
The Justice League was never really happy with the decision to not get involved with the situation in Paris, but since all of them were either aliens or metahumans or at least extremely well trained one-person-armies, who might actually defeat the heroes if they were ever akumatized, they agreed that trusting the chosen heroes was the best they could do. And then there were also Aquaman and Wonder Woman, as well as the Atlanteans and the Amazons, who warned them from getting involved in Miraculous matters. The only thing they agreed to do was to keep villains and other power hungry parties from pursuing the magical jewelry.
But there was one person who didn't get the memo. Well, he did, he was there, when they made the decision and he was against it. Batman just didn't really care to follow the League's course of action, if he felt he knew better. And he usually knew better, he had been right to follow his instinct more than once. And this is how Bruce "Only-I-decide-which-kids-to-throw-into-fights-to-save-the-word" Wayne ended up here, on a roof next to a surprised spotted heroine.
He had secretly traveled to Paris using a new fake identity. He didn't make as much progress as he wanted during the first few days, so when there was an akuma he didn't go straight to the akuma shelter but stuck around. The akumatized person seemed to be a child who didn't want their parents to leave them alone at the kindergarten, therefore they sent parents to their children.
When he got hit, Bruce expected to land next to any of his many children. Instead he found himself on the edge of a roof in the same city, he could see the Eiffel Tower. He was so surprised and confused, he would have fallen if a small hand hadn't grabbed his arm and hauled him back onto stable ground, just to tumble down next to him.
The only thing he could think as he locked eyes with the unfamiliar heroine was: Shitshitshitshit!
Ladybug placed him back down on the street and rambled the directions to the nearest akuma shelter before she gave him one last wide eyed glance and joined her partner in the fight.
Now he would have to find out who Ladybug was! And when he did, League be damned, he would make sure she and her partner got any help they needed, whether they wanted it or not!
I’m sorry for asking so many questions, but in reference to my last ask, you said that marinette would trust her brothers with miraculous. I’m now kinda curious on which miraculous each would have?
Don't worry, I don't mind the questions at all, on the contrary, so don't hesitate to send me any questions you had! ^^
As for your questionn normally what miraculous each of Marinette's brothers get is up to whoever who use the AU buuuuuutttt here's my personal take on the matter:
-Donatello: Roaar: Roaar's criteria for an holder is someone who isn't scared to speak up their mind which is Donatello's case, in the au, thanks to therapy and the Dupain-Chengs's care, Donatello is less disrespectful toward authority figures but follow a "respect is earned not given" logic.
-Rikiel: Stompp: Stompp's criteria for an holder is physical strenght, althought Rikiel in appearance seem not very strong, in the AU, thanks to therapy and the Dupain-Chengs's care, Rikiel learned to control his stand and his determination and desire to be an honorable fighter make him way stronger physicaly and mentally than he thought.
-Ungalo: Ziggy: In the AU thanks to therapy and the Dupain-Chengs's care, Ungalo is working on his mental problems and is revealed to be a very passionated boy with a big imagination qualities which fit Ziggy's miraculous.
-Giorno: Tikki(temporary in arc 4)/Trixx: Althought Giorno's powers and affinity with life made him a good fit for Tikki's miraculous, he is also very intelligent and cunning which fit Trixx's miraculous.
Alright! Here we go! The premise of the story is inspired by Teleporting into your life by @izanae Great story!! You should totally read it if you haven’t already!
I will totally write more about it! There is technically no pairing, but there is going to be one in the future (when I’ve decided which one)!
Also, I will post the Day 10 of Maribat Rare Pairs tomorrow. I totally have the idea, I just didn’t have time to write it yet. Oops.
Edit: Here is part 2.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
When she started her day, Marinette had been prepared for it to be bad. Hawkmoth had been silent for too long now, and she was seventy-five percent sure he was going to strike today. How bad it was going to be was a coin’s toss, of course, but Marinette was ready.
Or so she thought.
The Akuma, who had decided that striking in the middle of her Math class was the best idea ever, wasn’t objectively that bad. There weren't any minions! That was good, minions were a pain to deal with. But neither her, nor Chat Noir knew who it was, or what their powers were. The only thing they could say, at first, was that the person getting hit by the laser were teleported elsewhere.
Then, a little girl that had been separated from her father, in the park, was hit despite Ladybug's best effort to save her. The good thing was that she got out without any injuries, and that they now knew what the Akuma's power was.
The bad news was that it was bad.
The little girl had reappeared beside her father, a leather-like rope bounding her wrist with her father’s. Ladybug could feel her eyes widen in realisation, looking back toward Chat to see the same horror she was feeling on his face.
“Hahahaha,” the Akuma cackled, pointing their gloved hand toward the reunited father-daughter duo. “Now you can’t leave her behind! You’re forced to stay with her and be a dad!”
“Oh, no, no, no,” Ladybug muttered under her breath, panic overwhelming her. Her parents couldn’t know she was Ladybug, they couldn’t.
She saw movement from the corner of her eyes and had just enough time to grab Chat and hide, before the Akuma’s laser touched where they had been.
“That’s no good, my Lady,” he told her, panic in his voice. “My father can’t know I’m Chat Noir, it would be really, really, very bad!”
“Don’t worry, Chaton,” she told him with a confidence she didn’t feel. “We just have to not get hit.”
It wasn’t that easy, of course it wasn’t. Because this Akuma had to be a slippery one, of course it was.
They almost had them when it happened. Chat was distracted helping a kid run and was almost hit by the laser, and Ladybug didn’t really think. She had seen the panic in his eyes when he had talked about his dad. Letting her parents know about her being Ladybug was the less of the two evils, in this situation. She jumped in, pushing Chat out of the way.
Her last thought, before getting hit in the chest, was that she really hoped her parents were hiding in the bakery and not in an akuma shelter. Then, she was surrounded by a blinding light.
Next thing she knew, she stumbled on her feet, smashing face first in a hard chest. Taking quickly a couple of steps back, she looked around her, her panic fueled mind not really registering the anomalies.
She… wasn’t in the bakery. Not in an akuma shelter, either, they weren’t this… big. And the people around her were all wearing masks.
“You,” she started dumbly, blinking at the tall man in black in front of her. “You aren’t my father.”
“Ah,” he told her blandly, looking down, between her and the rope binding them. “Not as far as I know, no.”
She looked down at the rope, blinking confusedly at it. She could already feel her heart start to beat faster.
“It’s not what was supposed to happen,” she started, only to be interrupted by the sensation of a blade on her neck.
“Who are you? How did you get in here?” A boy, maybe her age, maybe a bit younger, it was hard to tell with the mask, asked her with a harsh tone.
“No, no, no, you don’t understand,” she said desperately, shaking her head and her eyes tearing up. “It’s not what was supposed to happen! The Akuma wasn’t supposed to do that!”
“Oh my god,” a redhead in a wheelchair, and the only one not wearing a mask, exclaimed suddenly, making everyone turn toward her. “You’re Ladybug!”
“Um, yes?” She said, her mental breakdown momentarily forgotten. She only now realised that they were talking in English. “Are we… Are we not in France anymore?!”
She ignored the crack in her voice, looking around her again. She used her gloved hand to push away the katana at her throat, knowing the blade couldn’t get through, making the boy holding it hiss furiously.
“No, you’re not,” the man that shouldn’t be bound to her, told her slowly, and she really looked at his face for the first time since she got here. Only to jerk back in panic, stretching the rope that shouldn’t be there at its limit.
“Holy— Holy Duck!” She exclaimed, pointing rudely at him and ignoring the person that muttered ‘holy duck?’ behind her. “You’re— You’re Batman!”
“I am,” freaking Batman told her, with a softer voice than what she had been expecting.
“You shouldn’t!”
“Hey, kid,” a guy in a dumpster fire of a red helmet told her softly, taking a step toward her. “Why don’t you tell us what is happening, exactly?”
“”This is not what the Akuma is supposed to do! Non!” She screamed, waving her hands hysterically. She barely noticed how it was making Batman's arm move uncontrollably. “It was supposed to bind me to my father! You’re not my father, you can’t be! Because that would mean that papa isn’t my father, and it can’t be. It’s not, because my life can’t be a lie! And— And— Who finds out they are adopted because of a supervillain! I can’t be that unlucky! It’s a misunderstanding! The Akuma probably glitched! Because freaking Batman can’t be my father!”
She ended her tirade on a high pitched tone, everyone in the… laboratory? was staring at her like she was on the verge of insanity, even the stabby kid! To be fair, she was feeling on the edge of insanity.
“Holy shit, B,” the red helmet person said with awe in his tone. “You got another one.”
Batman only stared at her with his creepy white mask-eyes, and she felt like she was going to cry. But she couldn’t, because Chat was back in Paris, and she needed to stop the Akuma before he was sent to his father. Taking a deep breath, she buried down all of her feelings, schooling her features.
“I need to go back to Paris,” she said, looking down at her wrist. “And it looks like you’ll need to come with me.”
“You don’t think you will simply let—” Stabby Boy started, only to be cut by Batman’s hand.
“How urgent is the situation?” He asked her, still staring at her.
“Very,” she told him with great emphasis.
“Alright, but we both come back here after,” he waited for her to agree before nodding, ignoring the protest it caused. “If we use a Zeta Tube we could—”
“We won’t need it,” she interrupted, opening her yoyo to take out the horse Miraculous, under the incredulous stare of everyone. “I have an instantaneous way of travel.”
She looked down at the box, frowning in thought.
“Batman can’t be seen in Paris,” she said slowly, still in an internal debate.
“If you think that he is going to unmask—” Stabby Boy said, but Ladybug only waved him off. She heard a choked off laughter, but ignored it.
“Take that, put it on,” she told Batman, giving him the Miraculous.
“I don’t use magic,” he told her, looking down at it.
“I’m sorry to hurt your… sensibilities, Monsieur Batman,” she said with a faux-cheerful smile. “But today, you do. I can’t let Hawkmoth learn that Batman is my— And, if you don’t have a suit that you could change in in the next thirty seconds, you’re putting on this Miraculous.”
He stared at her some more, trying to intimidate her, probably, but she didn’t have time for that, so she just grabbed his hand and put the Miraculous in it.
“It’s official,” Red Helmet Guy muttered to another man wearing blue and black. “She is my favorite sibling.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~
It took thirty minute to defeat the Akuma, after they got back to Paris. Fighting while being bound to Batman had been surprisingly easy. Awkward, at first, but he was good enough to adapt to her, and they quickly got the hang of it.
They made a detour quickly for her to recharge, hidden from him, before they got back to the Batcave. The freaking Batcave. And Ladybug was now surrounded by a bunch of Gotham vigilantes, wondering if now was a good time to break down.
“So, you’re B kid,” Red Helmet Guy started, raising his hands to take off his helmet.
“Non!” she screamed, taking an involuntary step toward him. “Don’t take off your mask!”
He paused, tilting his head slightly.
“Why? All you have to do is ask your mom who your dad is, and you will know who Batman is.”
“I— I won’t do that,” she said slowly, looking between the people in the cave. “I’m not taking my mask off, either.”
“What,” Batman said, and it probably should have been a question, but it really wasn’t.
“I can’t do that,” she told him, looking down at the Horse Miraculous in her hands. “I can’t risk my identity with Hawkmoth out there.”
“We are not even in Paris!” A young man sitting at the computer chair told her incredulously.
“There is no way for Hawkmoth to reach us, here,” Batman told her softly, and she was surprised by the softness once again.
“But,” she started, taking a deep breath before looking straight at the creepy white eyes. “Can you promise, with absolute certainty, that you will never set foot in Paris while Hawkmoth is actif. Not as Batman, not as your civilian self.”
He didn’t respond, and she huffed with a wry smile.
“That’s why,” she told him, putting on Kaalki’s glasses and unifying them with Tikki. “I know it’s hard to accept, but I can’t take off the mask until Hawkmoth is defeated. And that’s why I don’t want to know your identities, I can’t risk them either.”
“So what? We just let you go?” Stabby Boy told her with disdain. “We may share blood, but that doesn’t mean we should trust you.”
“See, the fact that you share blood with Batman is the exact type of infos I don’t want to know,” she said, rolling her eyes at him. “I’m not asking you to trust me. That’s like, the total opposite of what I’m asking you to do. I’m sorry, but you really don’t have any choice in the matter.”
Batman opened his mouth to say something, probably a protest, but she activated Voyage under her feet, not letting anyone react before she closed it back.
Where marinette gets hit by an akuma and starts to act like damian after. If I remember correctly marinette gets hit by an akuma and live damian's life as if it was her own and the same happens with damian. They also disappear when they relive each other's life and only return when they get to the current point in which the victim was hit. But because marinette is ladybug both her and damian has faint memories of each other and skills they know they did not have before marinette was hit. This is all I remember though.
I know I should be sleeping right now because it is already past midnight from where I am, but I couldn't so here I am.
from that prompt months ago
Selina felt her heart break as the doctor told her the bad news. She stared at the door as the doctor made their exit.
The baby… Her baby… Her own little kitten is gone…
She knew she wasn’t the best fit for a motherly role because of all her nightly mischief. And if this was karma, it’s too much. She unconsciously rubbed her stomach as tears fell from her eyes. She heard the baby cry during labor. Her kitten can’t be dead. She clenched her fists and she felt a little pain as her fingernails dug through her skin. I felt pain. This is reality. Well reality sucks.
She felt a hand on her shoulder and saw a disguised Harley and Pamela looking at her with sadness. “Don’t yah worry Cat, Red and I will always be here with yah, pinky swear.” Harley said, trying to be cheery. She gave the two of them a smile that didn’t reach her eyes as the girls pulled her into a hug. She buried her hand on Harley’s shoulder as she sobbed. The girls just hugged until Selina fell asleep from crying, all three of them, unaware of the woman in traditional assassin clothes watching them while carrying a sleeping baby from a distance.
“The decoy is at place.” A different woman said as she slightly bowed her with respect for the woman carrying the baby. That woman is Sabine Cheng.
“Good. Let’s go.” The woman, Talia Al Ghul, said and walked away as the other assassins followed her.
Back at the hospital room, the currently disguised Poison Ivy scrunched her eyebrows as she felt an odd feeling of being watched. I’m going to ask the plants later. But she definitely forgot to do so because she was busy trying to help console her poor friend.

In Nanda Parbat, assassins line up and bow their heads in respect as Talia al Ghul walks across the hall to her father’s throne room. Beside her is none other than Sabine Cheng holding a crying baby.
“Silence that thing.” Talia ordered as they approached the door leading to her father.
Sabine quickly tried rock the baby back to sleep. The crying stopped as the baby stared at her with intense blue eyes. She hummed a lullaby and the baby smiled at her as her cute little eyes started to droop. Baby Marinette yawned as she stared right through Sabine’s eyes. She felt her heart swell. If only I could keep her.
Because of her focus on the baby, she barely listened to Ra’s and Talia’s conversation. All she heard was Ra’s ordering her to dispose the baby as her parting mission.
Dispose this little cutie? No way! What the League of Assassins doesn’t know won’t hurt them.
