Pod Razor (Ensis siliqua)
...a species of Pharid bivalve which occurs in coastal areas throughout the north east Atlantic Ocean, ranging from the Baltic Sea and the North Sea to the Mediterranean Sea. Like many other Pharids E. siliqua spends most of it time under the sand, where it will extend its siphon and feed on various plankton.
