As the PGA Championship 2025 heats up, take a moment to look back. Before Tiger Woods, before televised leaderboards — Black golfers were building their own legacy. Barred from the PGA, they created the United Golfers Association. And today, historic Black-owned golf courses like Clearview Golf Club and Shady Rest Country Club are still standing — and still fighting to survive.
