Minutes into the pilot and I'm having Thoughts™
1x05
Red: I’m betting on the long play. The future.
Grey: Your future’s arriving now.
So my old Twitter keeps emailing me about what The Blacklist is tweeting (probably because I opened their twitter page a grand total of once, two years ago) and their latest tweet is, apparently, “Would Red sacrifice his life for Liz??”
And I’m over here, like, I don’t know what’s going on in that show right now because I stopped watching halfway through season four, but may I remind you that he opened the box for Liz in season one episode ten so of coURSE HE WOULD SACRIFICE HIS LIFE FOR HER WHAT ARE YOU EVEN ON AB-
i dont like ressler
“I have two directives: to protect you and find my employer.”
Wooooooooooooow, are you kidding me? This is literally almost the first thing Mr Kaplan says in the entire series. I mean, I’m not sure Jon had planned ahead as far as season three/four at this point, but with those seasons in mind ... this line is hella good foreshadowing.
I haaaaaaate it when Tom calls Liz, Lizzy. He only does it a few times, when it really matters, when he needs her to listen. Because that’s Red’s name for her. And of course Tom knows that, since Red was the one to initially hire him. It bugs me so much, though, that Liz doesn’t notice. She notices when Red does it; in episode 1, she told him that her name was Liz, not Lizzy. But when Tom does it? Nothing.
He’s a master manipulator, I hate him, and I hate that they went down the Keen2 road in season 3. They should have killed him off at the end of season 1.
remember when half a season ago ressler literally called Samar a bitch, fired her, and said he still didn’t believe that she deserved to be given her job back. and now he’s here saying she should reconsider her transfer.
donald ressler is the biggest, hypocritical asshole on this entire goddamn show
