OUR FLAG MEANS DEATH S01E09: Act of Grace
Staring at the love of your life when they're not looking and then thinking, "Can't believe this idiot is all mine."
because subtlety is overrated
Not to be that bitch but I'm gonna be that bitch. I feel like someone who recently went through a toxic relationship and got an immediate rebound.
Am I the only one that felt like omfd was a fever dream? That a good tv-show could have a canon gay couple as their main characters? Characters of color that they respected? Non-binary representation? It felt good to feel represented with Jim, you just don’t know how much. It just feel like its not real, even tho I’ve watch it three times already. It always seems like the first, and I feel emotional each time I finish it. As if it will be gone the next day and the story was simply an illusion. I hope we will have a second season, not just because I (desperately) want it, but because it will prove that we deserve it. That Queer folks can be represented in a funny and good way, as much as beautiful and heartbreaking one. These pirates made me feel and see things in a way i didn’t tought possible. I wish this fandom every good thing possible.💜💜💜
What a lovely place! Any new modern AU? FBI/agents/spies/CEOs would be awesome, but anything goes <3
Thank you!
I'm sorry I couldn't fine any FBI/agents/spies AU! But there are some modern human AU that gripped my heart! Mind you they're often wips at this point:
Tell My Story by MaxMagician [T], WIP
An Actor/Theater AU
Stede Bonnet runs a community theater group and tailor shop, although his current problem lies with the first one. Lacking interested participants, he and his crew are forced to take on the roles in Shakespeare's Hamlet. The only thing they lack is someone to play the leading role.
Edward Teach is a famous action star bored of playing the same role for over a decade. When he sees a video of Stede practicing for the play, Ed throws caution to the wind and auditions to be the Hamlet to Stede's Horatio.
There's romance (duh), action (on stage), and betrayal (on social media). Reputations and hearts will be at risk, and the question is: Which one will our heroes choose?
Dead of Night by Rosefantasy09 [M], WIP
Stede decides married life doesn’t suit him so leaves his wife and children in the night. But before he can run off to start his adventures in the Caribbean he must escape his controlling father’s goons. While on the run he meets local renowned gang leader Ed, known as Blackbeard. A quick friendship forms but will he make it to his new life, and will a surprising new love form?
Modern setting, rich boy Stede and gang leader Ed.
A Night At Blackbeards's Bar and Grill by soft_october [T]
“Look - I don’t usually do this, but I am the food critic for The Anchor, and it’s imperative that I -”
“Oh, a food critic! Well that changes things.”
“Does it?”
“Sure. What was that name again?”
“Stede Bonnet. Food Critic, Stede Bonnet.”
“Right. Well, fuck off, Food Critic Stede Bonnet. Blackbeard’s Bar and Grill is all booked up.”
The manager at the new restaurant Stede is trying to review is being kind of a dick. A certain member of the waitstaff, however, takes a bit of a liking to him.
Doing Hard Time by Rhapsody_Bohemia [M]
Stede Bonnet’s life took an unexpected turn when he was arrested on two counts of first-degree murder.
But the surprises didn't end there. His cellmate was the notoriously violent bank robber, Blackbeard.
It would take all of their combined cunning, and quite a bit of luck, to formulate and execute an escape plan.
But first, Stede thought, something really needed to be done about the quality of the prison uniforms.

Ah yes, the blissful opportunity to witness the affectionate touch of reassurance with a hint of protectiveness that we've all been reading about in fics
When you cannot help but allow yourself to be a classic example of gay disaster
