We commissioned illustrator @hey.mady , one of the winners for the illustration category last year, to work with one of our founders, art director and designer @tofzapanta , to make renditions of some of the participating venues for Bloom. We wanted to highlight all the venues as a token of appreciation for being involved in the nurturing of art and creativity in this very unique community, aside from the obvious peculiar aesthetic of the architecture of these spaces. We hope to continue this project even after the festival. Let’s celebrate these spaces, as well as creativity on November 23, 24, 25, as we turn 10 of your favourite bars and cafes in Poblacion into galleries for 3 days during this year’s Bloom Arts Festival! It was an afternoon filled with inspiration, perspiration (we commuted to The Collective) but most importantly art. As my eyes feast upon the incredible venue, illustrations, toys, and awesome people I could not help myself but feel inspired to create art as well. It's very hard not to be motivated and depressed at the same time. But I feel more motivated because I too should aspire to be one of them. I too can be in that line up someday. #tiwalalang :)
