Sonic or Shadow, why haven't you two seen eachother in a year?? Did something happen?

I mean not really. She got some big promotion and then fucked off to who knows where. I didn't even know she left until she was already gone. It's whatever. We weren't really talking before she left anyway.

       snow crunched under booted feet as danny stomped his way through the trees, small furred ears ( there were ears. ears on top of his head ) perked forward to catch any sound they could instinctually. he didn't exactly find himself with much of a destination beyond away, away from whatever crazy events were happening in this ancients-forsaken place. and away, evidently, meant finding himself trudging through the huge snow drifts that had settled at the trunks of the trees that inhabited this forest, doing his best not to get swallowed by them. because of course, even as phantom, he couldn't fly. which meant walking through this winter forest, alone and much colder than he was used to even being able to feel.

            or maybe... not so alone?

   ❝ Uhhh. Are you... a ghost? ❞ despite not feeling the cold of his ghost sense fill his mouth, and the lack of an aura, danny couldn't exactly imagine what else this person was besides a ghost. he'd certainly never seen a human that was blue and furred and winged, that was for sure.

   ' i think it is fascinating that iced cream is kept in these cool containers that somehow stay cool throughout the entire day. truly a spectacular feat of machinery. ' a firm nod, as though reaffirming his own conclusion.

Alright-- so maybe it wasn't the best idea to wander out as far as he had. But Vash had been worried about his friends; with no way to contact them, he'd had no way of making sure they're alright. HIs body has been through a lot-- the cold is just one more thing. Even the feathers aren't all that foreign to him, despite the change in colour.

The wind picking up sends snowflakes spiraling along with it though, and visibility drops so much so fast that even his sharp senses can't see more than a few feet in front of him. The best idea would be to turn around and find his way back home for now-- but he's already come this far out, and the falling snow has already covered any footprints that had been left in his wake. There's hardly any way to tell north from south either, not with everything blurred so thoroughly.

Shivers wrack through protective layers, making the dark plumage that had slowly sprout4ed forth from him quiver even mote than it already was from the force of the wind. His body doesn't run as hot as it once had-- but even if it did, he'd still probably be in a similar state.

"Where...?"

Above the sound of wind and snow, it's hard to even hear anything else-- let along hurried footsteps.
