i can post the bookmark designs i made for @dragonageannual !
was good fun to work on these; the taash one has a red tassel that connects to the red rope, and i've wanted to draw sandal and bodahn in some way for a while :D
Drawing almost every Dragon Age character — Part 7, Bodahn Feddic
Best merchant in all of Thedas but most of all — he's the best dad in all of Thedas. Loves his boy, supports him in all his shenanigans and believes in him more than anyone. Literally the perfect dad, there is no one better, fight me
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, Part 8, Part 9, Part 10, Part 11, Part 12, Part 13, Part 14, Part 15, Part 16
.Ambush Ahead ⚔️.
Round #1 — Match 42 of 104
Bodahn Feddic
“Warden: we have to stop the Blight Bodahn: ok. would you like to browse my wares first”
“bodahn deserves votes because he’s one of the only characters who consistently brings “normal life energy” into your disaster storyline. in origins he’s at camp like a reliable little anchor while you’re collecting traumatized weirdos. and then da2 lets him show up again, proud as hell about knowing a hero, getting roped into the deep roads mess, panicking when sandal disappears down there, and then afterwards he’s just… in your house, existing, keeping things running, making the estate feel lived-in instead of empty. it’s such a small continuity thing but it hits me every time.”
vs. Alistair Theirin
“I like Alistair because he is one of the sweetest main characters. I feel really bad for him because he was neglected and sent away to the Chantry, then the only person who seemed to care about him was killed. He has every reason to become a villain but he doesn't. He uses humour as a mask and is responsible for some of the funniest lines in Origins. Plus I am sucker for a true romantic. He set the standard for romance for me. And I stan a guy who is not afraid to admit his own weaknesses, which is that he would not make a good leader, and steps aside when he could've led regardless for the power. Also it would be really funny if he made it through and ended up against Morrigan.”
Who should advance?
Bodahn Feddic
Alistair Theirin
Random Veilguard DLC ideas I have
(Part Two, part three) Detective DLC: You help Neve with cases. It's all done like a film noir detective. Yes, it's even in black and white. Yes, there would be jazz music playing.
Affection DLC: You can smooch your LI and hold hands whenever you and them are out on the field. Yes, that means you can also kiss Spite. If you've been in a fight, kissing can do lots of healing. You can also give your companions friendship kisses. Yes, that does include Manfred and Assan. Black Emporium DLC: I know it's in the game—this dlc will be about acquiring Xenon some...questionable items he's requested. You get very good arms and armour, but never answers as to why. Backstory DLC: You get the chance to actually play the event attached to your faction backstory. Really expand your Rook's past. Spite, Assan, and Manfred DLC: The Veilguard companions are in trouble, and it's up to SAM to save them! Something happens to Lucanis, so Spite gets his own temp body. Either way, all three are up for a daring rescue! Lucanis, Davrin and Emmrich are, naturally, concerned. Doubly so if you have a Manfred-Was-Saved file. Feastday Gifts and Pranks DLC: A nice call back to Origins. Rook gets their own gifts/pranks depending on their faction/backstory. The Butterfly Sword makes a return. Enchantment DLC: Sandal and Bodahn make a return. Bunch of quests always end with the Veilguard finding Sandal surrounded by dead bodies of defeated foes. Nobody knows how he keeps doing it. Manfred sometimes says 'Enchantment!' if you talk to him. If you do certain quests and complete them a certain way, Sandal defeats Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain himself. You still have no answers on why he's like this. Not even Solas and Mythal know.
i love thinking of in-universe reasons for things. "why can you buy a chastity belt from bodahn" well maybe that's all they've got for birth control in thedas. maybe bodahn believes that abstinence is the best way to prevent unwanted pregnancy. maybe bodahn has regular customers who are sex houdinis. maybe bodahn has a sex shop on the side and got his inventories mixed up. maybe bodahn feddic contains multitudes
