Idk if it's a 'tism thing or a music lover's thing but the joy of finding a new song and band that just reaches out and grabs you by the throat is a different kind of joy. Sometimes YT recommends some really good goth, death rock and stoner rock bands.
Bong Witch is another band that has successfully drawn me in today. Stoner rock is a relatively new genre I've been getting into and what I've heard so far has me loving this shit. It's uncharted territory but good shit.
The opening track 'Pesta' on Bong Witch's EP goes hard. It starts out somewhat mellow but around four minutes, really picks up and just flies off the handle.
Idk what it is about a cymbal being hit like anvil that triggers such a near violent response but it makes me want to go fucking crazy. Like, I was trying not to get aggressive as I normally do with my headbanging lol. I'm in the front seat, riding home from my kitten's neuter surgery, and I was wanting to go feral. 🤣 I mean, wanting to throw my entire body back and forth, like I'm having an exorcism performed on me lol.
I'm still getting used to the way vocals are performed. It's spoken word poetry in some sections with some harsh, shouted vocals that have me on the fence. But I hope they release more stuff. I really like them. I don't think I've gotten this aggressive while vibing to a new band since Skinny Puppy and Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats.
