Had some left over wax so I decided to try and render it! A lot of it was old brood comb so there was a lot of cocoons to strain out. It smells pretty much as good as it looks. Might have put to much water in will have to check it once it cools off
A Sad Day
Checked my hives today. I wish I hadn’t. 3 out of the 4 hives had perished. I haven’t done a complete post mortem but I did check one and I want to say mites and the cold. Every single bee in the small cluster had at least one mite on them. Makes me sad and angry with myself that I could of done more to save them.
Bright side of things is that the hive I was so unsure if they would make it just has so many bees I think they will make it no problem. Even got a few stings of the new year trying to put some sugar on (Don’t think the need it but I can’t afford to lose these guys to my miss judgement).

Buzz Buzz
Rainy Saturday decided to put some frames and a medium super together. So relaxing.
Mite Check!
Started to check mite levels in my hives. Three of them are good so far. One of them had 4 mites so it is getting up there. Going to check it next week to see if my levels are correct.
