On this episode of explaining the bowels of pain multiverse au, we will be explaining

THE OLD GODS

As you know, they set up in destiny that there is a "light", and a "dark". In this au, we wanted to give faces to these beings, or atleast, the dark in particular.

If you know HP lovecrafts work, then yoh know of AZATHOTH, the evil god of the cosmos, devourer of worlds, in this au, azathoth acts as the darkness.

The light created azathoth, as all things need balance, however azathoth, has a much diffrent plan for the cosmos, one that involved pain, destruction, and mayhem.

And so, he spawned offspring to spread his chaos, ancient elder gods whomst he spread acrossed the vast universe to bring pain upon whatever the light created, meanwhile, azathoth himself, would devour worlds, and add them to his chaos.

Some of his children we have already met, such as shub-niggrah in quake, or the flood, whomst's true name has been uknown since the beginning of time. Even to the modern day of the timeline (destiny 2), azathoth and most of his children still reign in the cosmos, devouring and destroying whatever they please.

Since worshipping and using the dark of azathoth is considered a crime, most whomst worship the god of chaos, do so in secret, or in mass cults, cut off from others.

Who knows which of azathoths children will appear next, its only a matter of time...
