We just want to alert the community that there was a stabbing this week that began inside the notorious #ZombieHouse, then that spilled outside onto #FlatbushAve . @zombies_of_flatbush is white-owned gentrifying bar, located at 734 Flatbush Ave in #Flatbush , #Brooklyn that has become a breeding ground for sexual and gender-based violence against Black women and culturally appropriates Caribbean culture. Along with the over eight Black women who have come forward with stories of assaults by the owner, patrons and security staff , here is yet another example of why there is a community-led campaign to #shutdownzombiehouse . March on Friday December 13th,  to shut down a white-owned gentrifying bar in Flatbush that has become a breeding ground for sexual and gender-based violence against Black women and culturally appropriates Caribbean culture -- The Zombie House.   To date, over eight Black women have come forward with stories of assaults by the owner, patrons, and/or security staff.  As a result of this most recent assault in September 2019, women in the Flatbush community have not only called for a boycott of Zombie House but for it to be permanently shut down. Since 2018, Equality for Flatbush : E4F has received reports of gender-based violence against Black women occurring at The Zombie House, a white-owned gentrifying bar in #Flatbush that culturally appropriates #Caribbean culture. Survivors have reported being either assaulted by #ZombieHouse owner, Josh Kaplan, or that he was complicit in covering up the incident. Survivors have also reported that the NYPD refused to pursue their cases . At the urging of one of the survivors, E4F organized a community speak out in front of the bar during the "March against White Supremacy and Gentrification in #Flatbush" on 11/3/2018. On September 21, 2019 an another Black woman reported being assaulted at Zombie House. As result there is a call from the women in the community to #BoycottZombieHouse, located at 734 Flatbush Ave .
