hey i just thought id pop in and cause some chaos it's been a minute. i had a rocksibs question. so i know that the focus is branch and barb with their sibling dynamic and you won't talk about the romantic relationships explicitly. but i also know you're a sucker for brynth (pun intended ;) teehee) but brider was mulling over in my head after that breif fling branch and demo had. and i thought well spider is pathetic enough to simp for 10 something ish years and not know that it's love and not rivalry. 'if you've been rivals for longer than 7 years it's not rivals you're just gay' - i forgot who said it. anyway so what if synth shows up and hangs out with branch and it's just the right amouth of circumstances that sparks a new rivalry. but spider realizes synth is a really cool dude and it's llike branch x2 but sweeter and squishy. what do you think of the pathetic trio of bryder as a ship?

Bryder, Spibrynth, Brynthider or whatever you want to call it is a guilty pleasure of mine.
I think Spider at some point is aware its a crush and not rivalry, but he accepts that rivals is what they are and it's the best he'll get.
I think it starts off as Spider being a third wheel to Brynth. He hangs out with them all the time, even when they're having couples time. I think it kinda starts off as a queerplatonic thing a little bit where it's like "Yes this is my boyfriend Branch and our friend Spider who goes everywhere with us."
There was a tiktok I saw once of a couple that had a roommate that was the girl's best friend, and when the guy bought flowers for his girlfriend, her bought a mini bouquet for the friend too. I think Synth would do that.
I think Branch and Synth eventually realize Spider is a part of the relationship, and in Rock Troll fashion, they decide they're now dating Spider. Spider is unaware, and still think he's got two friends he has huge crushes on but are happily monogamous.
Even when Branch or Synth invites Spider on solo dates, he still doesn't get it and still proclaims himself to be Branch's rival.
The first time Synth kisses him, he short circuits.
The problem? Synth kissed him while gaming, so he thinks it was Synth's superior gaming tactics to distract him.
Spider's solution? Keep playing games with Synth so he can keep getting kisses.
The unintended side effect? Branch gave him a kiss during a game.
Spider then assumes kisses are the new meta gaming technique, so he gives it a try during a game of Zombie Island. It is not effective because Branch had his eyes open during it like a freak.
Every time Spider is referred to as Branch/Synth's boyfriend, he assumes they're being sarcastic. While he's with his band, one of them asks how his boyfriends are and he's like "ha ha very funny." Trash realizes he doesn't know and the three of them laugh at Spider for like 30 minutes.
They don't tell him, just make bets.
There's many more shenanigans of Spider not realizing he's dating Brynth, but it ends when Brynth are planning the wedding and Spider asks Branch who the best man is and gets upset when it's not him. Branch says "Spider, how are you gonna be the groom AND the best man?"
Spider unironically says "Woohoo" when he realizes whats going on.
