“Thank you, for being here.” Raphael knew that, given their history, knowing her brother’s now intense hatred for him, it was probably difficult for Isabelle to escape the Institute to come visit him. He knew that what Izzy was doing meant a lot, and that there was a lot on the line for both of them--their sobriety. Raphael and Isabelle were like two powder kegs about to implode any moment they were together, but the vampire was aware that now, she was one of few people he could turn to.
Well aware of the fact that Magnus was busy trying to piece together the mystery of the owl demon and save the world (the warlock always seemed to be doing that, didn’t he? he was too good for his own well being), Raph didn’t want to bother him with his petty feelings, no. Isabelle would understand, Isabelle would listen. Magnus needed to do what he needed to do. Izzy’s time was important as well, so he felt on edge being so needy, but there was just some unspoken thing between them that lead to him being so damn attached to her.
Sniffling and brushing away the tears that pooled in the corner of his eyelids, Raphael’s gaze hesitantly met Izzy’s. “I didn’t want to bother anyone with this, but I feel like I’m falling apart.” Rosa was gone and there was nothing left of his blood family but the soul sucking monster himself.
