For fans of Yuck, My Bloody Valentine, The Smashing Pumpkins, Lemuria, Beach Slang, Whirr, Joyce Manor, Tigers Jaw.

Pity Sex is an incredibly solid alternative rock band hailing from Ann Arbor, Michigan. They blend shoegaze guitars with lo-fi vocals and an overall emo rock vibe but without all the bullshit. Brennan Greaves holds down lead vocals with support from guitarist Britty Drake, which allows for some amazing gender-balanced singing between the two of them. There isn't much of a gimmick or anything that stands Pity Sex out from other bands out there other than being solid straight-forward rock with balanced tones and heavy soundscapes.
