This morning was incredibly emotional. Mum picked me up to go for our usual walk but when we parked we found this Pacific Black Duck injured laying in the gutter. Absolutely could not leave the poor bird to suffer so took it home put it in a box next to a heater to keep it warm until we could get it to a vet as instructed by Fauna Rescue.
We took to our nearest vet when they opened. Haven't heard any updates. As we were leaving my Mum made a comment about how the world is falling apart, bombs being dropped and here we are worrying about a duck.
I said. Gandalf would be proud. Gandalf?

Update duck had to be pts as injuries were too severe. I'm just glad it didnt die cold in a gutter. It would have been a slow and painful death.

I haven't had a proper melt down in such a long time. Came home from agility, first night back on a complete high as it went well, both me and Hurri, I Ran!!! I did a back slide slice!!!! Then come home to find the chest freezer some how had been turned off and all the fish and everything else we had just gone 😭😭😭 I got a bit hysterical, R kept telling me go calm down and stop crying which only made it worse.
I hate this. I've had meltdowns (tism ones) when I was a kid and a bit older but worked really hard on it. But it seems go be the emotion regulation area is what was damaged among everything else and I'm really struggling.

started watching Hudson & Rex and I love the little nods to Inspector Rex. I did not get emotional at a ham sandwich.
I miss having a German Shepherd. As much as I love my Goldens. Maybe I'll have to get another one day.
Mum and I had the whole cinema to ourselves to see Project Hail Mary
God that movie is so good. I'm glad I got to take my Mum and see it a second time.
