Deal
Waking up was a chore. I liked my sleep when I could get it. Memories of the night before came flooding back and I covered my face. “Oh god… Oh god… So embarrassing…” I mumbled. This was it. I’d have to fake my own death and live on an island along somewhere. Again. My stomach growled. That plan would have to wait until after food, it seemed. I pulled myself out of bed and looked at my clothes on the floor. Maybe I’d give Zoro a surprise and wear the dress in broad daylight. Hehe. Fuck it, yeah. I didn’t even both to brush my hair, it was somewhat presentable anyway. I opened my door and headed out into the bright sunlight. Having limited sleep would be worth speaking to Zoro alone every night. The sun kind of blinded me as I went outside but I ignored it and walked down the stairs to the deck. Nami was sunbathing, Usopp and Luffy were playing some kind of game while Chopper watched on, Franky was slaving over some kind of contraption, Robin was reading, Brook was aimlessly playing music, Sanji was nowhere to be seen and Zoro… Zoro was nowhere to be seen either. I frowned. “Nami,” She lifted her sunglasses and seemed to give me the once over, “what time is it?” “About noon. You didn’t sleep well?” I shrugged. “It’s okay, I had time to think.” She nodded. “I like the dress, by the way. You should wear them more often. Green is your colour.” Immediately, I felt the blush flare up and I turned away to hide it. “Thanks, Nami!” I laughed and walked into the dark hallway where it was safe. I waited a few seconds for the pink tinge to fade and entered the kitchen. Sanji was getting lunch ready for everyone and Zoro was sitting at the table trying not to nod off. I sniggered seeing how tired he was and went to nick an apple nearby Sanji. “LUFF-Oh, ___.” He grinned at me. I sensed Zoro shift and I felt his eyes on me. Don’t blush, don’t blush… Dammit. Sanji’s eyes settled on my dress and his eyes turned into hearts. “___-swaaaaan, that’s such a nice dress, you should wear it more!” I laughed a little and shook my head. “No, I’m only wearing this because I’m too lazy to get dressed.” “But green looks so good on you!” Stop it, ___, stop blushing. It looked like I was blushing from Sanji fawning over me, I could tell. I glanced at Zoro and he was watching us with a stony expression. I gently moved Sanji away from me. “Okay, maybe. Don’t let me distract you, Sanji, keep doing what you’re doing.” I politely excused myself and approached Zoro. I leaned against the end of the table and crossed my arms. He stared up at me. “What?” He grunted. What had him in a bad mood? “You know what. We made a deal. You’re supposed to hit him.” A smile started to tug at his mouth. “Later. It won’t make sense if I do it now.” His eyes wandered down and then back up again. “You wore the dress then.” I shrugged. “Surprise, I do listen sometimes.” I looked at him over my shoulder coyly. “You were right, though.” “That happens rarely but why am I right this time?” I fucking giggled. “Green does look good on me.” I winked, bit my apple and left feeling very powerful indeed. Oh yes.
