A Dying Culture.

I don't know shit about my culture

I don't remember being taught about my culture

I don't know the struggle my ancestors went through

I don't remember which country raped our women,

stole our land, slaved our people

killed our children.

I don't remember.

I don't know my own culture.

I was only taught a culture

of the white. White movies, white music

White. White. White.

In a crowd of brown people

why does the one white have the power to conquer?

Our culture is dying and so are we

thrown into a sea of white

when can our people finally understand

that white is not God.
