I wish you would write (or draw) a fic where Bughead (prep or regular) have a ‘Spy x Family’ moment. <3
Definitely an idea with Baxter👍👍!! It's tempting.

Oooh! For the ask meme, if you'd like: 👄🔪☕📅
This was a hard one to figure out that I legit came up with 3 different narratives. Eventually I picked this one, and I hope it’s okay:
Jughead never imagined his first experience at romantic love would be like this. It shook him to the core, in a not so pleasant way. And honestly, it was his fault.
Her name was Elizabeth Cooper, but she preferred the oldie label of “Betty”. She had entered the same office job as him not 2 months ago and he couldn’t stop his racing heartbeats every time they were in the same room. Initially, he had thought it was something he ate but after some thoughts and confirmation, he realised it was, undeniably, love. . .that was also unfortunately one-sided to his knowledge.
All 20 years of his life, he had gone around shuddering and dry heaving at the mere thought of making any kind of physical contact with women that it became an involuntary habit, one that he feared was going to take away the first and only girl he had feelings for. It already had, yet Jughead kept hope that he still had a chance to fix it.
He wanted them to talk without letting it end with her asking him what his problem was because he accidentally insulted her out of nowhere again.
He wanted her to hold him just as much as he did and maybe this time he wouldn’t push her away too hard on impulse again and quite literally.
He even wanted to kiss her, if she’d let him. But, by the way she avoided him in the present day, that hardly seemed to be an option. She wouldn’t even look at him and he thought that was it. He was doomed to be alone for the rest of his life, which isn’t at all a bad thought, for his teenage self.
Shaking his head, he tried focusing on his work to distract himself from the oddly painful mark of the loss. He even tried convincing himself that he’ll get over it. . .eventually.
And then his name was called. Looking to the left of his small cubicle, Jughead saw his boss, hair and tie positioned neatly as always.
“I need you and Cooper to take night shifts today if you aren’t busy,” The man informed him. “Joe, Beth, and Bret call in sick and we need replacements. Just until 11.”
Before Jughead could answer, a hushed shriek rang in the quiet office.
“What?!” It was Betty. She marched right in front of their boss with a look of panic and disbelief. “I thought I was the only one staying?”
“Yes, but I want all of my workers well rested for next week’s team building,” The manager said. “And you can only do that if you go home early, which you can also only do if you finish early and I doubt you can finish three people’s work in 4 hours.”
Betty pursed her lips in annoyance and Jughead almost wanted to decline, not wanting to anger Betty even more, but for some reason his gut told him to go with it. Something just felt off and it only worsened that evening.
He was constantly on high alert and kept checking on Betty.
“Can you just focus so we can get this done?” She told him for the umpteenth time.
If only one could communicate with their stomach. Jughead was tired of sensing danger he couldn’t figure out.
“I’m gonna go to the washroom real quick,” Betty followed and Jughead replied with a meek ‘okay’ considering she just squeezed his shoulder out of nowhere before patting it twice. It was rather strange but it was all he could think about since she left, until he felt something sharp and cold pressed on his neck.
His fingers abruptly stopped as he resisted the urge to gulp.
“Don’t move,” A rough voice of a man huffed behind him, pressing the knife harder on the delicate skin. Jughead nodded and raised his arms to his side to show surrender. He didn’t plan on fighting an armed intruder today and wasn’t going to if what he said next didn’t trigger him. “Where is she?”
“What?” The raven asked him with a tight jaw.
“Betty. And don’t play dumb, Jones, I know she’s working tonight. Though I’m surprised to see you here.” The man said, alarming all his senses. He knew both of them.
“She left.” Jughead answered as calmly—wishing that she actually did—as he could while his eyes looked for something of use against his assailant. Nothing.
“You really think I’m stupid enough to believe you let her go when you got the chance to really be alone?” He growled and raised the knife higher just below his jaw.
Jughead found himself chuckling. “Yeah, well, I may be in love with her but that doesn’t give me the right to keep her by my side against her will. I’m not crazy.”
A long pause entered and before Jughead could mock the man again, he was pushed, not by a hand but by the guy’s body colliding onto his back. The force sent him flying forward and luckily he caught himself with the help of his desk before he could land on the ground with the now unconscious intruder. Placing a hand on his free neck, Jughead looked behind him and was greeted by the image of Betty with a bent golf club.
“Holy shit, Bet—” Jughead started only to be cut off with small hands pulling him down by his collar and the moment warm, soft lips pressed against his own, his mind blanked. He even forgot about the probably-dead body on the floor.
“You’re an idiot,” Betty whispered after pulling back slowly and went to call the cops, leaving behind a dazed Jughead to process what she had just done.
