Sofia the First AU where Cedric has had enough of people's lack of faith in his capabilities and just...gives up.
What's the point of practicing magic if no one will believe in your ability to practice it? If they'll just make fun of you for it, and compare you to your father? When even your own family ridicules you? The path of sorcery has brought him nothing but pain, and he doesn't want anything to do with it anymore.
He resigns from his position of royal sorcerer (King Roland is only too glad to let him go) and leaves the castle. He probably settles down in Dunwiddie. All he has remaining from his life as a sorcerer is a wand in case of emergencies.
Now that he's no longer a royal sorcerer, he decides to figure out something else to do. He tries out various jobs of all kinds, finding a new path.
Doing everything without magic is difficult. He's frequently tempted to use the emergency wand and make his life easier. But he resists, telling himself he has given up on that life entirely. He persists without magic, and eventually it does get easier.
He misses his old life often, remembering all the wonderful things he could do with magic. But then he remembers the disrespect, the ridicule, and he tells himself that it's better this way.

a truer thing has never been spoken in regards to anthony having chemistry with every member of bof (i guess from a viewer’s standpoint/opinion the same thing can be said about anybody, but i’m focusing on anthony specifically)
