POLITICAL SATIRE and laughter are, for me, a way of dissipating all the bad energy generated -- the bad karma / confused thinking / 2nd-rate commercial reporting -- when we can't avoid all the tragic-comic insanity of the world, and the near-manic, non-stop news reporting on all the insanity of the world, a d i n f i n i t u m . . .
When the root of a problem is VIOLENCE, and the near universal ignorance of the destructive, divisive nature of thought which is its cause, and we are flooded with sounds and images stuck in yet another tight ball of the, well, Devil's Rope of the culture of force, we must take great care to get back up to the clearer, higher ground of real dialogue and serious, sustained, peaceful reflection.
