What's the shittiest or most target update lyth's gotten?

That's really subjective and I'd love to hear other's opinions. For me, I think it's the Buzinya update. There's not a single good quality about them.

what is the point of me having muted the buzi and infected words if i can still see the new designs that came out that are clearly the thing i specifically dont want to see on the site???!! im- they trigger me i DO NOT want to see them, + the dashboard always shows those 3 new sales right there on my face whenever i enter the site!! I hate this

At the very least the mods should make sure that adopts are actually tagged. It's a bit irresponsible to include tags and tag blocking, but not bother tagging adopts.

With the whole "uwu buzi are actually poor widdle baby who must infect people and are totally not bad, pls feel bad for them" thing I'm now worried people might hate me for the fact one of my lyths kills all buzi on sight, including trying to kill the infected and seeing them as a threat. Which I did this lore for my oc before the "oh wont you feel bad for the poor baby" lore. I added the "buzi killing" to my oc to deal with my discomfort of them. I feel like I'll be some bad guy now over it...

It's your OC. They can't control what you do with them. The fact that there's a worry you'd be looked down on just for something you added to cope with buzis is concerning.

I’d bet a pretty penny that staff would consider these complaints as people being “too hard to please”, when in reality they’re just incredibly biased towards stuff that interests them personally to give a shit about the people who are viscerally disturbed by it, and so continue to shoehorn them in and add little addendums to soften the blow somehow. Maybe they would just prefer the people who dislike the content to quit since they seem pretty adamant about not only keeping Buzis around, but doing even more with them in the future.

Oh and honestly? They were more cohesive as a hive mind parasite instead of a “poor baby species that have to do this to survive!!! Have you no heart uwu??? There’s just been a miscommunication don’t you see? They’re people too! Oh no I feel soooo bad for cutting off it’s antenna and forcing them to stop fucking brain jacking people. They’re so scared now! Oh noooo!!!”

Sorry, that was silly of me. But yeah, even as someone who didn’t really mind or care for the inclusion of Buzis, this new lens they’re trying to make us look through seems excessively sympathetic to something so fundamentally hostile.

Well said! There are some things that you just cannot cast in a sympathetic light without looking callous or out of touch. And Buzinya are one of those thing.

Oh I’m fucking sorry but the new addition of “Though parasitic, their takeover is more of the symbiotic sort” is horseshit. Do you know what parasitic means???? Also, no, having something hijack your brain is objectively not beneficial for a host, who are you kidding.

Also? The concept of the freed buzi being just a terrified creature cut off from its ability to communicate with anybody and is just clinging to the nearest person who’s nice to it really sours the entire concept of it being a pet. I actually thought it could’ve been cute (since they look silly), but this makes it incredibly uncomfortable for me.

Well said! Personally, I think the edits are just slapped in in such a poor way it looks more like a first draft than it should for a released species. And you're right, there is no possible way for them to have any symbiotic relationship with the host when they literally take over their brain.

They couldn't even be considered symbiotic or a parasitoid, considering their lore.

Not the "Notes on Buzinya Behavior" making an ABSOLUTE BACKTRACK on the parasites taking over, erradicating their hosts and them not being an evil hivemind. too late dude, should have started by saying they can be nice or they can take over by force.

That is something that should have been decided on day 1!
