By then, Linda had become friendly with someone in the Beatles' circle, Peter Brown, who she met, along with Brian Epstein, when they were in New York on business. "There were four or five guys that I knew very well, who lived in New York," Brown explained. "They were all gay, and I was, so we all hung out together. And Linda sort of attached herself to us because she thought they were cool, which they were. So we got to know each other, and I liked her a lot."
