@scnkei asked: The Sakura is in full bloom, petals constantly falling. He watches her as per his instructions. A human with unknown powers. Can she even see him? [for the witch!verse.]
Being born to the element of nature, spring is when she is at her most powerful. Even standing in the middle of a steel city, her connection to the earth remains strong. After years of living in the heart of Tokyo to complete her studies; however, she longs to set down roots someplace smaller, quieter, where nature can grow freely instead of being carefully preserved in speckled pockets throughout the concrete. Her initial plan is to move far away, somewhere actually rural, maybe even buy a farm. But during a train ride home, she finds herself stopping by a small town in Western Tokyo for reasons she can’t explain. It’s just... a feeling. Something peculiar she’s never experienced before that seems to draw her in.
It seems like an impulsive decision for everyone else, but her curiosity has been piqued, and that moves her more than anything. Getting a job at the local hospital makes it even easier to rent an apartment nearby despite having no prior connections to the town. And soon enough she is settled in and ready to embark into this little adventure of trying to figure out what is it about this place that makes her feel so... on edge.
Hanami season makes it so she wakes up even earlier. Alice enjoys walking along the empty streets right before dawn, hoping to catch the sun rising and witness the moment that the skies are painted that softest shade of pink matching of the petals dancing all around her. When it starts, she finds a good spot and simply watches as darkness gives way to color with a small smile across her lips.
She’s known for a while now that she is not alone. Senses both the presence and the gaze. But her attention remains on nature’s masterful artwork until the pastels give way to blue. Taking a deep breath of fresh air, she sighs contently at the start of a new day and turns to face her hidden companion. The witch can’t see him. At least not like this. But all it takes is one release word whispered in the privacy of her mind, and a protective veil is lifted from the bright green of her eyes, allowing her to see beyond her own plane of existence. “Ah, there you are.”
With her third sight open, Alice lifts a hand to shield her eyes from the sudden brightness and be able to take in the details of the stranger’s face. “Good morning.” Whatever it is he’s here to do, she doesn’t sense any animosity towards her, which gains him a cordial smile and a polite bow. “Do you need me for something?”
