My last day in Te Horo
Hi there! I am still at Ian and Pierre's (my nineth day) and I am very happy that they let me stay a bit longer than they usually take wwoofers in, even if there has another one arrived yesterday. On Thursday we watched the third presidential debate together which was an interesting experience because I haven't watched the first two and mainly got my information about the election from the news and social media. Having heared Trump live I only got assured that he's a total prick… I hope there will be no bad surprise on my birthday. During the last days I had a bit of change in terms of work; I polished some silver plates and on Saturday I went to the market with Pierre to sell some of their stuff but also the olive oil they make. The afternoon was amazingly warm and me and Pierre went for a swim (I jumped in first!) in the fricking cold pool. In the evening they took me out for dinner to a small restaurant/café where I had snapper (fish) with some asian souce on rice. The evening was so nice! We had really good white wine (that Ian brought with him to the restaurant, something you can do in a lot of Kiwi restaurants) and incredibly awesome dessert: chocolate tarte! Our film collection extended quite a bit: We watched Crash, which is so so SO good! Then Adore, a family drama which is also amazingly well done, a must watch for me, Elysium (Sci-Fi with Matt Damon, not bad) and Tracks, a film about a women who walks through the Australian outback with Camels that definitely worth watching. Tomorrow I am off to Wellington for three nights and I have heaps of Ideas of things I can do that Ian and Pierre suggested I would enjoy. I am quite sad about having to leave Ian, Pierre and Koru , they where such nice hosts and I enjoyed working for them so much. I had so many interesting discussions with them (lots of them about Trump) and once they have moved and are back from Canada I absolutely want to visit them again (maybe with you, dad?). Wish me luck with Wellington guys, Cheers!
