It had been a while since he’d seen anyone, much less Steph. It was almost a shock to see her standing in front of him. With her brows furrowed at him in irritation. He probably should have been expecting it. After all, he had disappeared right after he revealed to her that he was going after Roman Sionis. For the most part, he was spending all of his time in his own little Bat cave. Hidden in the old theatre in Crime Ally. Only returning to the manor once not too long ago and running into Atticus there. He hadn’t told anyone about this place and yet here she was, standing in front of him. As beautiful and angry at him as ever.
“Hi... So uh, how’d you find me? And how’d you get past my security cameras?” He asked after a moment, turning to face the monitors and reaching up to place a couple fingers on his chin curiously.

He’d texted her earlier about getting lunch for her birthday just so he’d have an excuse to get her out of the manor and into the front where he had the new car he bought her. It was purple. obviously and it was similar in looks to the civilian form the Redbird took when he had her blending in. To top it off, he had a big silly looking blue ribbon tied on it as a joke and callback to her original outfit. He wanted to get her something big this year to make up for the birthdays she spent alone when he thought she was dead. He hoped that she wouldn’t think it was too much, though. That hadn’t really crossed his mind until right now. As he stood at her doorframe. “Ready for lunch?” He asked.

After her encounter with Wanda, Jean found herself more drained than she had anticipated. For the most part, the Phoenix within her was relatively easy to manage, their relationship intense but mostly symbiotic, but letting her front for so long had definitely taken it out of Jean. She found herself tucked up on one of the seats out on the terrace, basking in the mild spring weather and nursing a can of soda and some fruit. Her book was spread out in her lap, head tipped down faintly to scan over the words. She was about to turn the page when the presence of another mind brushed against her own.
"Afternoon," she murmured softly, flipping her page telekinetically as she took a sip of her soda. When she glanced up, she was glad to see Steph and gestured to a free seat. "Feel free to join - it's nice enough out to sit for a while," she hummed, tearing her gaze away from her book more decisively and turning to the younger girl. "Everything okay?"
Jean took another sip of her soda, ignoring the coiling Phoenix fire prickling her skin. Phoenix was always so restless after she had shown her face.

Now that Babs and Helena had officially signed off on her staying in the Mousehole, Charlie was almost certain that she could find some sort-of familiar faces to spend her days with when they were busy in the field. She had made a very distinct plan of combing the entire Mousehole from top to bottom in an attempt to find some of said faces and hey, if she was making her way through the corridors on her skateboard then at least no one could yell at her for smoking out the building!
Naturally, her grand plan indicated that she should begin her hunt in the communal spaces. It was a slow start at first, mostly spent peeking her head around all the doors until eventually, something clicked as familiar in the back of her mind. It had been a little while since she had seen Stephanie properly but even now, she knew for certain that it was her sat there. Carefully, Charlie smoothed down her clothes, arranged errant waves of hair behind her ear and tucked her skateboard under one arm.
An inhale. 3, 2, 1, and....
POOF.
Charlie reappeared at Stephanie's side, leaning her chin on the back of her free hand as she grinned. "Fancy seeing you around these parts!"

Following the GPS directions from her apartment to Carolina BBQ, Thea’s hand gripped the wheel. She was nervous, an emotion she hadn’t felt in years. Meeting Steph face to face for the first time was a big deal and if she was being honest, she was nervous because while the pair had texted and talked on the phone and facetimed over the last year, they’d never met. Steph was the last piece of Ben left in the world for Thea to grasp on to and she’d wanted, for the first time in a long time, to make a good impression. She wanted Steph to like her, she needed Steph to like her, and as she pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant and backed into a space in the back, her stomach filled with butterflies, she realized just how important this day was for her.
Get it together, Santos. Taking a deep breath before cutting the engine off, Thea glanced down at her phone to check the time (she was running classically late, but only by five minutes) and climbed out of the black sports car. She paused, pulling her sunglasses down over her eyes and locking the door to the vehicle before depositing the keys into her purse and slung the purse’s strap over her shoulder. She had to will herself to move, but after a moment she made her way across the parking lot and towards the entrance, spotting the sister of her best friend easily in the small crowd of people milling about outside. Sucking in a breath, Thea raised her good arm in the air as she called out the other woman’s name. “Steph!” Closing the distance quickly, Thea stopped once she was standing in front of the brunette, a half smile on her features. “Sorry I’m late.”

For once, Greer was actually on time; her truck pulling up in front of Steph’s place at 7:25 and Greer, promised pie and wine in hand, knocked on her old friend’s door at precisely 7:30. Maybe it was because the two of them hadn’t seen each other in a while or maybe it was because Greer was just that curious as to find out Steph’s news, but either way... there she was. Uncharacteristically on time and waiting for her old friend to open the door.
“Well there she is.” She said with a grin once the door swung open and Steph was revealed to be on the other side. “Aren’t you a sight for sore eyes, darlin’.” Stepping forward, Greer wrapped the woman in a warm embrace, pie and wine and all, giving her a gentle squeeze. “You gonna invite me in?” She asked with a smirk, “Or am I gonna haveta eat this pie out here all on my own.”
