When: 11 September 1979, morning
Where: Hogwarts cloister
Who: @daphnedavenport
Camille had seen a note in one of Hogwarts’ message boards from a girl named Daphne, willing to donate some of her old Global History of Magic and Mermish I material. She thought that anything would help, frankly, specially coming free of charge - the first two weeks of classes had passed by and Camille already felt that she was behind on a few topics. The academics were never her forte, but she chose not to dwell on it much - she’d get by. More likely so with free extra material.
As per the note, the large tree in the Hogwarts cloisters was the designated place to meet Daphne - a name that seemed more or less familiar, but which she couldn’t quite place. At the designated time, an elegantly-dressed, dark-haired witch waited for her. And Camille recognized her, too, as a peer from Cambridge. Her shoulders tensed up, slightly, in anticipation of the scornful attitude she’d learnt to expect from the Cambridge folk. Just by looking at her, she knew Daphne checked all the boxes - beautiful, elegant, flawless posture and pose. Everything she wasn’t.
“Daphne, right?” Camille greeted her with a slightly unconfortable grin, noting how each strand of her hair seemed to fall exactly where it was supposed to fall. She did not mention Cambridge. “I read your note about the Social Sciences material.” She gestured vagely towards the castle. “It’s super groovy that you thought of donating it. It’ll help a bunch!”
